Today I was Headteacher for the day so I had to come to school very early at 8:15. I set up our assembly which we have every Monday. I set it up with candles , a green cloth with white dots, a statue of St. Vincent and a statue of Jesus on the cross.
Then, I went down stairs to welcome everyone on the door with some hand-gel.
After that, it was time for assembly. I explained that Miss Walsh, Mr Sheehan, Miss Smith and Miss Heila are leaving. We also welcomed some new teachers. I had to introduce Mr Aitken to say blue St. Andrew won the tokens and St. George red won sports day. Everyone cheered!
Later in the morning I gave the new teachers a tour of the school with my sister. it was nice to meet them. I showed them everything they need to know about our wonderful school.
Throughout the morning I looked at every class to see their learning and behaviour around the school and in their classroom. I was very impressed with the wonderful behaviour especially Nursery.
I went out to the park to walk Molly ( the school dog).
I had to taste a little of the lunch to see if it was good enough to be eaten by the school. It was amazing! Later on I had my lunch went to playtime as usual.
Now later this afternoon I am going to meet my new teacher for next year (year 4.) Today is really fun!
I gave all the teachers positive feedback and ended the day giving out the sun stickers.
I am feeling good!
