First Tom will sail to the North Pole. The boat got stuck in the icebergs. He escaped on his hot air balloon. He met a polar bear who was friendly. They went exploring and found a tent and found his Daddy!.

Tom goes to the shop first to buy a map or he could have used his atlas.

    Dear Miss Travers.

1- I think Tom is going to get to the North Pole and his boat will get stuck in an iceberg. He is going fly in a hot air balloon and he will see the Northern lights in the sky. Then he will jump onto an iceberg he’s going slide down it. He’s going to also meet some wild animals including a walrus and a bear. Then he is going to stand on an iceberg and use his binoculars to search for his dad.

2- I think first Tom goes up into the sky in a hot air balloon and see the Southern lights.

    Extension

If I went to the North Pole I would like to see the Northern lights ,Polar Bears and Artic Foxes. I would like to ride a Dog Sledge and I would like to see an Artic Wolf. I would like to see Ice Bergs and I would like to meet the people who live there.

I wouldn’t like the fact that the Sun doesn’t shine on the North Pole for half the year or the temperature which is 10° below Celsius most of the time.

    Challenge question.

I think Tom felt shocked and worried about his dad being lost in the North Pole because it can be dangerous.

  7. Hello Miss Travers,

Tom is going to the North Pole. I think the boat will get stuck in an iceberg. Tom will fish and catch shrimps to eat. He will use the sauce pan and cup on his feet to slide along the ice and the pick to push in to the ice in case he slips, to get him to safety.

I would like the snow and ice bergs because they would look beatuiful. The polar bears, seals, whales, dolphins and Arctic foxes. The Northern Lights because they are very bright and colourful.

I would dislike being too cold and slipping in to the freezing cold
    water!

    Hello Miss Travers,

What can happen next… Tom climbs the iceberg and he saw a lovely view from the top of the iceberg. It was miles away but Tom didn’t care. He set off and the pick of his footprints was going in the ice. But at the end of the iceberg, he still didn’t find his dad and that was a big ocean to travel until the next iceberg. Tom realized that he had left his sailing boat on the other side of the iceberg. So he followed his footprints and went on his sailing boat. Tom arrived an hour later and it was already night. So he dressed up his tent and unfolded his sleeping bag and he closed his eyes because he needed to wake up very early the next morning. Next morning, he woke up at 6 o’clock and left to an other adventure to find his dad…

I think when Tom got to the iceberg, the whales were circling him because they wanted some food. He gave them some food and then sailed away. He followed the compass to The North Pole and used his binoculars to see if he could find his dad. It was nighttime so he got his torch out and set up his tent and used the pick. He put his torch in his tent and then he heard a penguin so he went out and gave the penguin some fish he caught when he went fishing. In the morning he had a sandwich and he followed his compass and found his dad. They sailed all the way home and used the binoculars and saw some more penguins and some whales. When they got home they had a hot chocolate and went to bed. The end
