Good morning Year 1!
Today we are going to be looking at spelling and handwriting.
Your spelling words are the days of the week.
Let’s start with handwriting. I would like you to write out the days of the week using your best handwriting. Look at my example to help you sit your letters on the line. Try and make your letters the same size too.
Try practising your spellings in your yellow home learning book.
2. Think of some sentences using each word. Have a look at my examples below.
You can write a short sentence, like my first example, but the extension is to try and stretch your sentences!
Look out for the past tense verbs too!
Type your sentences into this blog post or take a photo and send it to me.

Good morning Miss Travers, here are my sentences where I have used the days of the week:
– On Monday, I went swimming to my grandparents’ house.
– On Tuesday, I played with my favorite toys.
– On Wednesday, I went walking with my sisters in the mountains.
– On Thursday, I slept in my bed.
– On Friday, I drew on a large piece of paper.
– On Saturday, I cooked cookies with my mum.
– On Sunday, my mummy taught me how to sew a jumper.

Dear Miss travers. There are my sentences: On Monday, beautiful Elsa found out that she has magic! On Tuesday, Anna tried on lots of beautiful dresses. On Wednesday, Elsa used her magic to make snow which she played in with Anna. On Thursday, Anna ran to Olaf and they played lots of games together!
