Good morning Class 1!

I have been SO impressed with your fantastic work this week! Thank you for all of your hard work! I know Miss Travers is very, very proud of you all.

I loved reading your brilliant writing yesterday about Tom’s adventure to the North Pole!

Yesterday some of you wrote the first part of your writing and some of you wrote your first draft. You all remembered your capital letters and full stops and some of you even included commas – excellent work! Today you are completing your writing task or, if you finished yesterday, writing it out in your neatest handwriting. Then I can make a gallery of all of your brilliant work on this blog for Miss Travers to see (I think she is going to have a big smile on her face when she sees it)!

Here is a reminder of your writing task:

Don’t forget your sentence starters:

Before sending in your work make sure you check that you have used capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and exciting words.

You might want to draw a beautiful picture to go with your writing to show Tom on his adventure!

If you finish your writing and would like a challenge, perhaps you could write about where Tom might go on his next adventure! I think he might go somewhere warmer after being in the cold North Pole! Maybe he will go somewhere with his Dad now that he has rescued him?

I can’t wait to see your final writing pieces and a big WELL DONE for working so well on the blogs this week!
I hope you have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing more of your work next week!
From Miss Lee 🙂

  1. I think Tom will go next in Africa with his dad. They will take a plane and land in the middle of the desert. It will be very hot with sand all around. He will dig a big hole to try to find water and when he finishes he will get attacked by a lion and then an elephant arrived. And the lion and elephant fight. Luckily a camel came by and Tom and his dad went on the camel and they went to the nearest village before coming back home.

Good morning Basile! Wow that sounds like an exciting adventure, I wish I could go with Tom and his dad too! I have always wanted to go to Africa to see my favourite animal… a giraffe!

  3. Good Morning Miss Lee,

Last year I went with my family to Singapore. I think Tom is going to go there next because it is very hot, very beautiful and green with plants everywhere. At night all the buildings light up, they would be so colourful for Tom and his dad to look at. They would eat delicious food like noodles and dumplings, yum! They would go on a night safari to see all the animals and would visit the Gardens by the Bay. They would swim in the hotel pool. Tom’s daddy would buy him a merlion souvenir to say thank you for rescuing him. It has a lions head and the body of a fish! My daddy bought me one when we were there. The flight would take a very long time, but they would watch movies and eat lots of food. It would be a relaxing adventure as they need to rest after being in the North Pole!

    Good morning Saoirse!
Wow that certainly sounds like an amazing adventure!
I agree, Tom and his daddy would need a rest after being in the North Pole! It sounds like they would have a lot of fun in Singapore and eat lots of tasty food! A great idea! I wonder if we will find out in the next part of the story where he will go next?
