Good morning Year 1!

First, I would like to wish some children in our class a happy birthday! From the time we left school and now there have been quite a few birthdays! I hope you all had a lovely day!

I have a list of all your birthdays so I know a few are coming up in June!

When we get back to school we can sing lots of happy birthday songs!

This blog is for you all today. Maybe you could share how you have been feeling and what you have been doing at home to look after yourselves.

Maybe you have been playing lots, or you might be doing lots of creative activities?

Some of you might be going for walks or chatting with your friends over the internet. Remember that even though we cannot see each other, we can talk to our friends on the blog pages. Hopefully we can all see each other in person soon!

A reminder of the fun we have had this year!

I have been reading lots of books and baking lots! I made cookies one day which were yummy! I have also been cooking lots of different recipes for dinner. I have been going for walks and speaking to my friends and family on the internet.

You could look at this Keeping Healthy post which gives you extra ideas on how to keep healthy.

I would love to hear what you have been doing and how you are feeling. It is normal to feel lots of different feelings at once.

You could look at the Zones of Regulations which we use at school.

Remember that we are still here for you and I miss you all very much!

  12. Hi Miss Travers, I am happy because I get to spend every day with my mummy. I feel bored sometimes because isolation is not as fun as school and I miss my friends. I have been playing board games and doing school work and I have been having a lot of fun spending time with my mum, playing hide and seek and making cakes. My mummy made me a princess castle out of boxes and we made salt dough hand prints.

I’am feeling worried if I don’t see you again, playing with my family made me feel better. I have played snap, memory games I have also went to Regent’s Park. In Regent’s Park I go to the zoo to see the giraffes, the camels, the zebras, the goats and the monkeys. Yesterday I saw a cute little baby duck. Then I saw dandelions, with bright yellow blossoms.

  14. I have been making a time capsule so I have a memory of coronavirus. I am putting things we have made during coronavirus in it like the dough thing and the thank you nhs picture and photos of things we have done to remember this.

  17. Hello Miss Travers,

I miss you and all my friends and I can’t wait to go back to school.
I have been doing many experiments with my mum and sister like making a Volcano. I also helped my mum make pancakes, cakes, smoothies, pizza and the best cinnamon rolls. Every morning, I do P.E. with Joe Wicks and practice doing splits and sometimes I go outside for a walk with my dad. On Saturday I do my arabic homework and listen to arabic songs. I hope to go back to school and see everyone again.

  18. Saoirse says:

    Dear Miss Travers,
I miss you, Mrs Kidd and all my lovely friends, but I also feel happy as I have been on my family farm in Ireland for 7 weeks and am spending lots of time with my family. I do my homework in the morning and spend the rest of the day outside. I am learning lots about nature. There are lots of newborn lambs, calves and 1 kitten. She is 4 days old and is very cute. She hasn’t opened her eyes yet. The horses haven’t had their babies yet. One mare is having her foal in 2 weeks time. We have a mountain on the farm which I love climbing with my family. Everything looks so small from the top. Swallows have built their nests in the barn and red kites at the bottom of the mountain. We play pooh sticks in the stream. I have planted lots of vegetables and fruit which are growing fast. It has been very warm since we arrived so I get to water my plants everyday. We drink water from the spring well. I love running through the empty fields and playing frisbee, bubbles, grip ball, football, hopscotch and skipping. There are lots of wild flowers growing with bees and butterflies. I am listening out for the cuckoo which comes every May.

  19. Dear Miss Travers,

I feel happy at home as I get lots of free time to play with my mum which I enjoy so much. I am excited every time that I finish my homework as my mum promised to play with me. Now I am feeling a bit angry as I want to do all of these activities and play with my friends again.
You gave me way too much homework to do.
    I miss you a lot.

  20. I miss Miss Travers, Mrs Kidd, Miss Colman, Mrs Lynch and everyone. I would really like to play with all my friends. I wish the Corona virus would go away.

I have been doing my school work. I have done lots of planting with my gardening gloves on. I have planted carnivorous plants with teeth to eat up the flies, cress and cornflowers.

I go to the park every day and play football, hide and seek and catch. I saw Aiden and Louise but we kept away from each other.

I made some table decorations out of pine cones which I painted for my Daddy’s birthday lunch.

I have decided to call the living room the drawing room because I read in Paddington , it is a room with lots of windows where you can read without the lights on so I am saving electricity for the Green team.

Ive played games , snakes and ladders, bowls, Rhino Hero, Kayanak.

We’ve watched the Africa programmed with David Attenborough , I saw lots of lions which I love. The BBC bitsize lesson are fun.
Ive made up some songs and done lots of jumping

We have a new baby as a neighbour who doesn’t cry very much.
I have discovered Bircher muesli, which I really enjoy.
    I enjoy sleeping

I have been tidied up my bedroom with my Daddy.

I do jobs as well, sweeping , mopping , setting the table.

I hope no one is sad and I really really really reallly really really wish I could play with my friends. Bye bye
