Today was World Book Day and everyone in the school dressed up as a character from a book. You all looked fantastic!

Can you tell us a little more about your character? Which book are they from? What is your character like? Is your character a good character or a bad character? Why? Is it your favourite character? Why?

I dressed up as the ‘Ladybug’ from the book: James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. The Ladybug is a kind and friendly ladybird who is very proud of her nine spots. I know that she is kind because in the story she always comforts James and encourages him, building his confidence and helping him whenever he is in trouble. She is very gentle and caring.

  2. I dressed up as the pigeon from the duckling gets a cookie. The pigeon is bossy but the duckling is nice because he gives his cookie to the pigeon.

  3. I chose ‘The cat in the hat’ because he is funny and naughty. He’s got lots of silly ideas. He has got a really good machine that can tidy everything up.

  4. My favorite book is Swan Lake because a swan can turn to a princess and in the end the prince and the princess are both swans.

  5. I dressed up like Batman because batman has magic powers and can save people from bad guys.

  6. I dressed up as The Highway Rat. He is very cheeky because he steals everyone’s things but at the end the other animals tricked him and got their food back.

  7. I dressed up as Harry O’Hay from The Scarecrows Wedding. I love the book because he marries a nice scarecrow called Betty.

  8. I dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. Little Red Riding Hood was a good character but the wolf wasn’t a good character.

  9. Sebastiao says:

I dressed up as Fantastic Mr Fox, a book by Roald Dahl. Fantastic Mr Fox was a good character. Fantastic Mr Fox gets duck, geese, cider and chickens from Farmer Boggis Farmer Bunce and Farmer Bean. I liked the book because in the end the foxes have a party.
