  1. Good morning Miss Lee?
I think Susie the snake has 19 eggs
    4 x 4 = 16 + 3 left over = 19
    And the 2nd one is:
    5 x 3 = 15 + 4 left over = 19

  2. Hello Clare! Great work on showing your working out! I wonder if anyone will get the same answer as you?

    1) My answer is 19.
To have this number I calculated all the
numbers from one to ten which can have remainder 3 or 5. The number 19 has remainder 3 and 5.

    ???
Hope to have this one right ??

    Good morning Miss Lee??

    My answer ✍?:

    19/5=15-19=4

    Done!?

  22. Well done Mayowa, you will see the answers on the next maths blog!

  23. ??Emilie ?? says:

I think susie has 19 eggs because
    4×4=16 16+3=19
    5×3=15 15+4=19
    19 is under 20

  24. Well done Emilie! You have shown your working out clearly!

  25. I think Susie has 19 eggs. It is because counting in 4s is 4, 8, 12, 16, then adding 3 will equal 19, and then counting in 5s is 5, 10, 15, then adding 4 will equal 19.

  26. Great work Lucy! You have explained your working out!

  27. ANSWER:
I think ? the answer is 19 because when I counted in 4s it couldn’t be 20 as there was 3 left over. So I took 16 and I added 3 to make 19.
Then I suggested that the 5s was 15,I added 4 to make 19 aswell.
    METHOD:
    4×4=16 16+3=19
    5×3=15 15+4=19

  28. Well done for explaining your answer in detail Elisa! ??

    Suzie has 19 eggs (?)

  36. Can you explain your answer? 😀

  37. ?_-* AMARISSA*-_? says:

    Hello miss lee??
The answer for today’s math question is..
    Susie has 19 eggs because..
If you go up in the 4 x tables, go to the number nearest to 20 which is 16, so if you do 4 x 4 or 16 divided by 4 you will get 4 and 16 and on the part where it says ‘she counted up in 5 and got left over which she has 4 left over you make a remainder of 16 and then you do 16 + 3 and the final answer is 19.

    Thank you, teachers and classmates
    ?

  38. Susie has 19 eggs because:
    4×4=16+3=19
    and…
    5×3=15+4=19

  39. 19 eggs. Sorry for being the last one to answer!

  40. I think Susie has 19 eggs.

    4 x 4=16
    16 +3=19
    5 x 3=15
    15+4=19

    Thanks.

  41. 4 groups of 4 = 16 eggs
    Plus 3 left over
Total number of eggs is 19

    3 groups of 5 = 15 eggs
    Plus 4 left over
Total number of eggs is 19

    The answer is 19 eggs
