Sentences: Statements and Questions
Statements tell you something. The person or thing doing the action usually comes before the verb.
The man is here.
You can turn some statements into questions by putting the person or thing doing the action after the verb.
Is the man here?
Task
Write whether these sentences are statements or questions.
- Why is he angry?
- I work in a bakery.
- My mum’s name is Kate.
- What’s the time?
- It is a windy day.
Now rewrite these statements to change them into questions.
