Proof reading

One of the hardest things to do when we write, is to proof read our work after. When we proof read, we need to look for any little mistakes we have made and try to fix them, before we can say that our work is finished.

Read the passage below and see if you can re-write it without the six mistakes that have been made:

The children scipped excitedlie across the playground? The teacher appeared at the gate with a box ov toys. He place it on the floor and took out the skipping ropez.

Can you explain what the mistakes were?

Can you extend it and make it even better by adding more to the sentences?
