In DT, you started the project by drawing simple animal forms and observing both movement and shape. You then cut materials to length accurately and drew shapes and nets.

We are sorry we could not complete the project in school but now that you have taken the nets home please complete these and share what you have created by posting a short explanation of your creation on this blog. If you have not reached this stage, please design your animal in your homework book. Can you create it using what you have at home?

Here is a reminder of the task we set in class:

The big task is to design and make an animal with a moving mouth from studying their own mouth and head movements and those of animals. The mechanisms used by you are restricted to a cam and follower, a simple crank or a crank and slider.

Here are the visual steps as shared in class:

Please proof-read your response before submitting (check punctuation, spelling and grammar).

We look forward to reading your responses,
Mrs Avdiu & Ms Robertson
