  1. I think Tom packed well for this trip but he forgot many things like spare clothes, drinks, plasters and medicines, a toothbrush and some soap.

    Dear Miss Lee.

    1. I think Tom has packed quite well for his trip.

    2. Tom has forgotten to pack fresh water, fresh fruit, clean clothes,
a phone (in case of trouble), toothbrush and toothpaste, a knife and a fork, vitamins, hand sanitiser (because you can’t eat if your hands are dirty), a book about the North Pole (in case he wants to know fun facts), a camera (incase he wants to take some photos), a First aid kit (in case he hurts himself) and a teddy bear to comfort him.

    Challenge :

To knew he was getting close to the North Pole because he saw gigantic Icebergs.

  12. Miss Lee says:

All very very important things to pack, I can’t believe Tom forgot them! I hope he reads your ideas before packing for his next adventure!
Yes the icebergs would be a big clue! Well done Isabella!

  13. Miss Travers says:

Well done Year 1! I have enjoyed reading your comments! We did this activity in class today too. We thought he would need a warm cosy coat, lots of jumpers and some boots with ice grips so he didn’t slip on the ice!

  14. Hello Miss Lee,
Tom knew he was getting close to the North Pole because it was very cold with huge icebergs and a lot of snow everywhere.

I think spare clothes (coat) and food are missing Tom’s backpack.

  15. Miss Lee says:

    Hello Junior!
Yes I agree the ice bergs would be a big hint and it would be freezing!
Good ideas about what Tom forgot to pack! Hopefully he will remember them next time!

  16. Hello Miss Lee,

    1) I think that Tom packed well for his trip.

    2) He has forgotten to take water and clothes with him.

    3) Tom knee he was near the North Pole because he saw icebergs and whales.

  17. Miss Lee says:

    Hello Jay!
Good ideas! Water is very important! I hope Tom remembers it for his next adventure!

  18. Hello, good morning Miss Lee. I think he packed his bags well. But I think he forgot to take some medicine for him if his dad is hurt, plus clothes and water. When it got really cold and he saw those big, white ice mountains he knew it was coming.

  19. Miss Lee says:

    Hello Julia!
Yes clothes and water are very important and a medical kit just in case! Good ideas! You might need to help Tom pack before he goes on his next adventure!

  20. I think Tom packed well for his trip, but he might have forgotten a few things: clothes, toothbrush, tooth paste, bin bag, toilet paper, clock.
Tom knew he was getting close to the North Pole because it was getting colder and colder and gigantic icebergs appeared on the horizon.

  21. Miss Lee says:

Good ideas Camila! These are all useful things to pack! I hope Tom remembers these before his next adventure!

  22. Hello Miss Lee!

    1. Of course.
    2. He has forgotten:
    – A dog to smell where his dad was
    – A phone
    – Clothes

  23. Miss Lee says:

    Hello Mateus!
A dog is a great idea! Not only could it be used to find his dad, it would also mean Tom would have a friend to travel with!

  24. Hi Miss Lee,

Tom forgot to pack a camera to take pictures of the whales, a toothbrush, toothpaste, chocolate, a snugly toy to sleep with and a blanket in case he lost his sleeping bag. He should have packed a pen and paper too and extra clothes. Maybe he could have taken balloons and let them go in the sky so his Dad could see them.

He knew he was getting close to the North Pole when he saw some icebergs.

I have drawn a picture of the things I would take.
I would take a camera and I would take super glue in case anything I needed broke. I would take binoculars like Tom did.

  25. I would also take some board games so I could play them with my dad before we went home and a colouring book and some colouring pencils.

  26. A lovely idea Eden! Which board games will you take? I like the board game frustration as you never know who is going to win!
