Good morning Class 4!

It was SO lovely to see you all on the zoom chat yesterday! I hope you enjoyed it!
Don’t forget to head to yesterday’s P.S.H.E. blog to think of some ideas that we could do on next week’s zoom!

Here is today’s maths task…

WORKBOOK: 4B
CHAPTER: 8
WORKSHEET: 12

EXTENSION: Tuesday Extension Task

CHALLENGE: completing_sequences_of_decimal_numbers

Making Number Patterns

A number pattern or sequence is a set of numbers that follow each other in order, and we use a rule, or pattern, to go from one number to the next. To find the rule for a sequence, we take two consecutive numbers and subtract them.
For example:

1.2, 3.4, 5.6, 7.8, 10.0, 12.2, 14.4…

We choose two consecutive numbers (that means two numbers which are next to each other in the number pattern) and subtract them.
I am going to choose 5.6 and 7.8

7.8 – 5.6 = 2.2
So, now I know that in this sequence the number pattern is that each number gets increase by 2.2

Please ask if you need any further help!
Good luck and enjoy!
