Today, we’re going to have a go at making up our own dance routine. The music is called ‘friends’ so it would be lovely if you could do this dance with a partner. This could be someone in your family or a friend if you video call at the same time! If not, then have a go by yourself and be creative with your dance moves! To start off, I would like you to listen to the music. As you are listening, notice to speed and sound of the music and think about which parts you would walk to and which parts you would skip to.

Listen again and try and think of some dance moves to go with the music. Things you could include:

  • Some walking or some skipping (4 x 8 beats of the music)

  • A walking pattern. This could be going forwards, backwards or sideways. If you are doing your dance with a partner, try and do the same moves standing side-by-side. (4 x 8 beats of the music)

  • A change of direction. If you have a partner, link arms and turn. If you are doing it by yourself, then spin in a circle. (4 x 8 beats of the music)

  • Make up your own set of ‘friends movements’. (4 x 8 beats of the music)

Be as creative as you can!

  1. Every day we do walk a mile for 30 minutes fitness exercises.During this exercise we do stretching,skipping,walking.some time we choose just dance videos and dance for 30 minutes. I already did my
    P.E. moves with friends today.It is a rewarding to do 30 min fitness exercise in the hub.

    We do just dance.
    It is fun.

    The PE blog was so fun! I did it with my sister. I also love the music. ?
    The music made me do so many different dance movements! ?

    we go every day out to the park for 1 hour of excise and we also play Wii which is a game for sports and it is so fun and my mum is going to take a photo of me make up a dance.

    Hi everyone,
    We did dance routine together it was very fun.
    Here is our dance routine.
    1. Skip forwards until you meet, link arms. Then turn around (whole) then keep skipping until you get to were you started (4x).
    2. Then skip forward, meet, grab hands. Then turn sideways and skip to the left side, once you have got to the end of the room skip back to the middle. Then do a half turn, then go to the other side, when you get to the end of the room, skip back to the middle (2x).
    3. Facing each other walk to the left (one person walks backwards). Once at the end of the room, continue to face each other and walk to the other side of the room. Then return to the middle. (2x)
    4. Grab hands (one at a time) then continuing to hold one hand, twirl the first person, then twirl the other person.
    5. One person walks to the left, the other to the right, scissor clapping their hands.
    6. Upon reaching the side, then return to the other side doing roly-polys. (Careful not to bump in to each other)
    7. Run to the middle, grab hands, rotate a half turn and each jump away from each other and run to the other side.
    8. Skip back to the middle, grab one hand, with the other hand both clap hands 2x and link hands (both hand held together).
    9. Finish with a star jump and a big smile. (Hands remain up high)
    10. Take a bow

    Wow girls!! I can really picture the two of you doing this dance together, I love all the different moves that you have come up with! ⭐ I’m sure they would have been a huge round of applause when you got to step 10 🙂

    I danced with my brother. We made a walking dance pattern going forwards and backwards (5x). We then linked arms and danced round in circle (2x). It was fun!
