Good Morning, Reception.

Well done for all of your hard work in phonics this week.

Today, you are going to do your own writing about your friends.

Here is a photo of your friends in Reception Class at Christmas. That feels like a long time ago now!

I would like you to write some sentences about your friends all by yourself. I would like to see you using your phonics sounds and tricky words without a grown up helping you. Don’t forget your finger spaces!

I can’t wait to read your independent writing all about your friends.

Love from Miss Siswick. (I will be at school so I will not be able to respond until  later today.)

PRINTABLE VERSION:R Phonics Friday

It would really help me if you could upload photos  straight to the media file (instructions are here: sharing photos and files) as they get to me more quickly and easily as they don’t have to go via the office and my e-mail. Please can either your child’s name or face (but not both) be visible on any photos. Many thanks.

Florence was quite proud to have written nearly a ‘whole page’ by herself. Although she did need to cross out one of her sentences when it became a little muddled.

  2. Miss Siswick says:

Well done, Florence. I can tell that you have been working very hard on your writing. You should be very proud of yourself.

  3. Miss Siswick says:

Great writing, Tim. I didn’t know that Alexander could play ping pong!
