Good Morning, Reception.

I loved hearing and seeing your fantastic character ideas on Tuesday.

If you haven’t created your characters yet, please go to Tuesday’s blog first.

Today, you are going to make up your own story.

This is what happens in the Little Red story:

Once upon a time there was a little boy called Little Red because his favourite colour was Red.

He lived at the Belch Inn with his mum and dad.

One day he went to visit his grandma. He took her some ginger beer.

On the way a wolf was watching him. The wolf went to his grandma’s house and ate her.

When Little Red got to his grandma’s house, the wolf wanted to eat him as well.

Then he had a brilliant plan. He gave the wolf the ginger beer to drink. The wolf burped and out flew Grandma!

In the end, the wolf agreed to never eat anyone ever again.

They all lived happily ever after.   The End.

Now, can you tell a grown up your own story using these sentence starters?

This is a story telling not a writing activity, so please can you write down the story that your child tells you.

Once upon a time there was a little … called Little… because her/his favourite colour was…

She/he lived …

One day she/he went to visit…

On the way…

When she/ he got to…

Then she/he had a brilliant plan…

In the end…

They all lived happily ever after.   The End.

You could choose your favourite part of your own story to draw and write about.

I can’t wait to hear all of your fantastic stories.
Love from Miss Siswick

PRINTABLE VERSION:R Topic Thursday

It would really help me if you could upload photos  straight to the media file (instructions are here: sharing photos and files) as they get to me more quickly and easily as they don’t have to go via the office and my e-mail. Please can either your child’s name or face (but not both) be visible on any photos. Many thanks.
