Lent offers Christians a time where we can all show self-discipline and make an effort to get to our highest potential. Just like Jesus did when he was fasting and when he did his resurrection because he died for us. He never gave up on his mission to God. That is how he showed self-discipline and never giving up.

Lent offers Christians time to reflect on there beliefs and there self discipline and to be thankful for all the good things they have in life. This is why we make an effort to give things up for lent because Jesus spent 40 days fasting without eating or drinking until Easter .

Lent let’s Christians to have self-discipline to not do one thing for 40 days and 40 nights, they also have to trust in God.
Lent offers Christians a time to think about God and how we can be a better person, especially by being kind to your enemies and those that are less fortunate than us. It takes an effort to do this, but the reward is God’s love.

Something, and , lets say you give up marshmallows. So your mum comes back home and whith her shopping bag, and she has a creamy marshmello packet. You come down stairs, and you see the marshmallows.you think , oooh yes, marshmellos. My favorite. But you remember, . You cannot eat them because you promised you shall not for lent , and whith a little help from God, you can pray to him whenever you find it hard to stay strong. Just like in the gospel, satan tried to tempt him and Jesus used the power of the gospel and carried on . For instance, when the satan said, ” You are the gifted one! you are hungry I bet. You see that rock over there? Why don’t you turn it into bread?”but Jesus used the power of the holy gospel. “in the bible, it says that man cannot live on bread alone , but by every word of God so he goes away. The next day, the evil spirit came once again and took him to the top of the temple in the holy city in jerusalem and the devil said this, ” throw yourself on to there!and then your angels can pick you up.” But once again , Jesus said , “do NOT test God.” So the next day , the despicable creature came up to him and took him and showed him to the whole world and said,”This can be all yours if you just bow down and worship me..”but Jesus did look horrified. He said calmly to him , “Oh satan , you only worship and bow down to the only and loving father , wich is the magnificent lord heavenly father.

Lent offers christians time to reflect on what Jesus did in the desert when he was tempted by a devil. And we sacrafice some stuff we like. Just like Jesus did for forty days and forty nights.

Lent offers Christians a time to think about things they have done wrong . Lent is also a time when Christians give things up. They do this because for forty days and forty nights, Jesus did not eat anything.
Lent is also a time when Christians show self- discipline. Self discipline means to stop your self from doing things if it occurs to them not reaching a goal that they would like to achieve.
I can show self- discipline by saying ” is this a right thing to do” before I do something.

Lent offers Christians a time to give things up for 40 days and 40 nights,it is the time when think about Jesus and and have trust in God.Some times we stop doing things that we like to do?or eat ??? and do things like do the washing.
Why do we do this during Lent?
Lent is a time of the year when you have to give up something and it’s the coming of Easter. It tells us that Jesus went in a desert and he fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. On Easter we celebrate his sacrifice and his Resurrection. During Lent I will make efforts to improve my self-discipline.
What will help you improve your self discipline?
Self-discipline and Lent:
For Christians, Lent offers some time to use self-discipline and try with a lot of effort to use their potential.
You also turn to God a lot which will increase your faith.In the Bible it says if you want to turn,turn to God and don’t leave things on the path for you must not come back.
This means if you don’t know where to turn you can turn to God and not give up on your dreams.
You can also think about your sins.
It is much more easier to create a penance to reach your goal.
Lent offers time to Christians to think about God and the people who are less fortunate then others.

For me, Lent is all about giving up something that you really want to keep and giving gifts to God such as love ?. God says love your toys as much as him, and do all you can to prepare for Easter. It is also about getting sadder and sadder before the death of Christ. About preparing for Easter isn’t always easy as you think it is. Easter is when we think about freedom and how Jesus rose from Heaven.
Lent offers Christians that in lent you give something up, for example, You gave up pizza for the whole of Lent, Christians give up things in lent for forty days and forty nights because of Jesus by not eating anything for forty days and forty nights in a desert.
Lent gives Christians the opportunity to reflect on the lessons Jesus taught us and think about how he sacrificed himself because of his love for us.✝️
