Our new topic for Spring 2 is… ‘Seasons.’
This is an interesting topic with lots of opportunities to explore our natural world. During this topic we will develop our understanding of the effect of changing seasons in the natural world around us. We will use the outdoor environment to observe the natural world, exploring the weather and seasonal features. We will develop our communication and language skills to help work out problems and organise thinking and activities, and to explain how things work and why they might happen.
As a year passes, regular changes occur in the weather. This cycle of weather changes is split into four parts, known as the seasons. The four seasons are winter, spring, summer and autumn.

What is your favourite season and why?
We will share all of your responses in class which will create some fantastic discussions!
I love all the seasons but I have good memories from winter as we always travel and play in the snow all day in Italy. The summer also brings me great memories of water park and beach holidays and it is very hot weather.
My mum loves winter and my grandmother loves the spring as she always says is the time to flourish. My brother collects different color leaves on the autumn.
My favourite season is summer because I love the sunny warm weather and in the long summer holiday I like going to the beach and play on the sand. ❤️🌊🏝🏖☀️
l like winter season because there some snow and we can make a snowman and little snow balls. and say hello at santa.
My favorite season is summer because it is a warm season and you can play outside a lot and you can go on vacations everywhere. You can wear shorts and have ice cream outside too!

I love spring because I love seeing all the new flowers grow and bloom. Daffodils are spring flowers. I also love to see the trees turn green with new leaves.
I like the summer season because I like eating ice cream and going in the swimming pool outside in the garden. I love eating bbq with my family.
We also go on holiday to the beach and I like seeing the surfers go fast in the water.
I love all the seasons, I love winter because I get to play in the snow and and build a snow man, I love summer because I get to go to the beach, I love rainy season because I jump in rain puddles and and I love spring because of all the beautiful flowers and the smell of the air.
I love Summer because it is so warm and I go to the beach in France. I go swimming in the sea. Sometimes I go to the playground in Biarritz and sometimes I go to my grandparents house and I go swimming there with my mummy and my big brother.
I also like Winter because we can go skiing with my grandparents and Charles and I can ski on my favourite slopes.
I love the summer! I can’t wait to swim outside when it’s hot. It’s the best. And when we go to the beach I can play sandcastles & catch crabs in my bucket!
My favourite season is winter because I love building a snowman. I love when it is snowing and I can play in the snow. I like throwing the snowballs and I love building a snowman. I love winter because I really like visiting my family in Poland and when it is snowing outside, I can play in the snow with my cousins and make the snow angels. I also love building the little house for the birds that are looking for food in winter – I always put some seeds in it.
I love autumn because my birthday is in October. The leaves are colourful on the trees and it looks very pretty outside! 🍂🍃🍁
My favourite season is summer because I get to play in the park everyday after school with my friends. I also get to go the beach and play with the sand and play in the water.
I adore summer time. It’s warm and sunny so we can enjoy playing outdoors and eating ice cream. I also love this season because we always go on holiday and spend most of our time on the beach with our grandparents. 🌞🌞🌞🌞
I love the Summer because I like to go to the beach and the pool.
I also like the Spring because I like celebrating my birthday on May 9th. Its also when I can stop wearing thick winter coats.

My favourite is spring and autumn. Spring has lovely flowers, my most favourite flowers are roses and poppies. I like autumn because the all the leaves are lovely colours, and my favourite colours are red and yellow

We adore the summer, as we love the long sunny days which make us all smile. We think summer is fun as we think everybody seems happy especially when eating ice cream and having picnics together. Our favourite part about summer is going to the beach and making sand castles and paddling in the sea!
I like Spring time because flowers start to bloom, leaves 🍃 on the trees come out making everything look so much more colourful. The day becomes longer and weather becomes warmer. And we celebrate Easter 🐣 in the spring. Egg hunt is great fun.
My favourite season is spring because I like the way everything comes alive again after the cold winter. Flowers start to grow, there are new leaves and blossom on the trees, birds make nests and lambs are born. Most of all I like it because the days start to get longer, we celebrate Easter and it is my birthday too!
