Our new topic for this half term is Traditional Tales! 

I am looking forward to reading lots of different Traditional Tales together. 

What is your favourite Traditional Tale?
What good and bad characters are in the Traditional Tale?
What part do you like best?

  1. Lier shepherd is one of the Iranian traditional tales.
    He was a little boy who thought that it was fun to lie about seeing a wolf attacking his herd. So he laughed at people who came to help him. But one day when the wolf attacked him for real, no one came to help him because everyone thought he was lying again, but he wasn’t lying this time.
    The boy and wolf were bad characters. The people who came to help were the good characters.

  2. My favourite story is Cinderella .
    Cinderella is a good person.
    Step-sisters are the bad persons.
    My favourite bit is when Cinderella’s fairy god-mother came and gave Cinderella, a beautiful dress.🦄

    My favorite story is the Gingerbread man. He runs so fast and is a good character. The fox is not a good character, he lies. My favourite part is when the Gingerbread man tried his best to run away, even when his feet were soggy.

  4. I like Gingerbread man because it is really funny story, the fox eats the Gingerbread man.

  5. The other traditional tales I like are Little Red Riding Hood and the Ginger Bread Man. 🦄🌺😊🌞

  6. I like Cinderella because Cinderella has a nice blue dress, and I like Cinderella because she looks pretty, and I like it so much just the story because there’s a prince in it, two stepsisters, Cinderella and a stepmum.
    I like Goldilocks and the three Bears because it’s nice and I like it so much because she eats all the porridge and breaks baby bear’s chair and sleep in his bed.
    I like RumpelStiltskin because he’s such a funny the little man and in the forest, he is singing “my name is” and that’s how the Queen finds out.

  7. The Gingerbread man is my favourite, because he can run very fast. The fox is the baddie because he ate the Gingerbread man.
    The story helps us learn how to be safe and not trust the fox.

    My favourite traditional tale is Alice in wonderland, the good characters are Alice and the bad character is the queen of hearts.
    There are many parts which I love in this tale, one being the bunny sings ‘late late for a very important date, no time to say hello, good bye I’m late I’m late I’m late!’

  9. I like The Gingerbread Man. I like it when The Gingerbread Man says “Run Run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m The Gingerbread Man. 🍬
    I like it when the people are running. It’s so funny!

  10. My favourite Traditional Tale is Cinderella. I like Cinderella because, I like her going to the ball in a lovely dress. I like the fairy godmother when she gave her the beautiful dress, the glass slippers and the coach and horses!

    The Stepsisters are mean. I do not like them.
    I like Cinderella, the Prince and the Fairy Godmother.

  11. I like Hansel and Gretel. I like the part where Gretel finds the witch’s treasure. The witch is the baddie because she wants to eat Hansel. The stepmother is also bad because she takes the children into the woods and she leaves them alone.
    The good characters are Hansel and Gretel and the dad.

    I also really like the Cinderella story because the fairy godmother helps Cinderella to go to the ball. The stepmother and the stepsisters are mean because they say that Cinderella cannot go to the ball.

    I also like the gingerbread man because the old woman and the old man cannot catch and eat him. The fox is evil because he has a clever plan to eat the gingerbread man.

    I also like the beauty and the beast because I read it at school and I liked the pictures. The beast looks mean but he is a good person.

  12. My favourite Traditional Tale is the Gingerbread Man story because he can run really fast. He can’t swim though so gets wet feet. I also like to eat Gingerbread Man biscuits !

  13. My favourite traditional tales are the Gingerbread Man, Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel. I love the Gingerbread Man because he runs super duper ucker fast. I also love that the Gingerbread Man gets eaten by the fox.

    I love Cinderella because she goes to the ball and I love to balls too. I also love Cinderella because she is very kind to everyone. She meets a prince and a fairy Godmother also, who are kind to Cinderella.

    I love Hansel and Gretel because they lived with their stepmother and their Dad was a wood cutter. I love the witch locking Hansel in a cage and dragging Gretel to the kitchen to make all the food for Hansel.

  14. My favourite traditional tale is Rapunzel. She is a good charachter. I like this tale also because the witch tricks the prince at the first but finally the prince and Rapunzel won and Rapunzel goes back to her parents.

  15. I have many fairytales that I love to read and watch.
    My favourite fairy tale is Cinderella because it has a happy ending where she gets married and she is soo happy.
    I also love sleeping beauty because I like to sing the songs, she also has a happy ending of getting married.
    I also like Aladdin as there is lots of magic and I would love to have a magic carpet where I could fly around the world. This would be soo cool.

    I like the Gingerbread Man because he ran away and the fox gabbled him up and I like the Gingerbread Man when he meets all the characters. I prefer the Gingerbread Man and the fox.
