  1. River said his Godfather (Jaime) cares about him, and River cares about foxes because they are cute, actually he loves all animals such as snakes, dogs, rhinos to list a few . River says that caring is “Love” (showing love).

We discussed GOD’s care is when we feel looked after, having good luck and good health. we can see what a beautiful world we live in, and God created that. We like to go walking and being in nature and that is Gods gift to us. GOD gives us the gift of food on our plates. We feel the love of God in church and through our prayers.😊

Sharing with others is caring and River loves to share (most of the time) maybe he needs to practice more. Hugging friends is caring.

We need each others care, and Jaime needs our care.

We do need to care for our shared world and environment with recycling and being clean and tidy in our world and in our classroom. River says we must “listen” and this is a form of caring.

  2. I think that this weeks Wednesday Word is telling us that since we are all God’s children we should always be kind to one another and love one another. As it says in 1 Corinthians 13:4–8a-‘Love is not dishonest’
Jesus teaches this and we should always follow Jesus’ teachings, therefore we should always be honest and trustworthy. We should never give into our temptations and treat one another as we would like to be treated.

  3. Sophia Maria (yr 5) says:

This week‘s gospel is all about trust. God trusts you to know that he will always be with you no matter what. We should be mindful and treat each other the way we want to be treated. So if they trust us with something like they ask to help them with homework or tidying up we do it. God wants us to trust each other and him but not to trust money because like the Gospel said you can not trust both money and God. God wants us to trust him and we should not be afraid to do so. But most of all God wants us to love each other because out of love comes trust.

  4. Mila (year 5) says:

I think this weeks Gospel is about trust.God trusts you no matter what and will always be with you.you should treat people how you would like to be treated as that could make lots of peace. If someone asked you to hold and take care of something you should take care because it might be something precious and they have trusted you with it.God wants us to be trustful because he trusts you so we must trust him back.He loves us so we should be trustful as he wants us to be.

  5. Sophia [Year 3] says:

I think this Wednesday Word is about trust. Like Jesus said ”The one who can be trusted with small things can be trusted with big things.”

  6. This gospel is speaking about Trust worthy and God would always trust us.

  7. Being trustworthy is important because it show that you can be a loyal friend. Being a loyal friend to God, family and friends shows kindness and care. In the gospel Jesus said that one cannot serve two masters. If we fall in temptation, friend and family will trust us less and we will end up losing them.

  8. This text is reminding us that if we cant be trusted with the little things, how can you be trusted with the big things. Jesus wants to remind us that God trusts us no matter what and we should trust him as well. For example, if your mum wants your help to tidy up she EXPECTS you to help because she trusts you.

  9. Apolline Reception says:

    I like sharing

    sharing
this weeks gospel is about sharing sharing is really important because sharing is caring and it shows you care about the other person. In the gospel the rich man was not sharing he kept all the food to himself and not thinking about the poor man outside his house. Now the poor man died and was taken by angels to the blossom of
Abraham then when the rich man died he said to throw the poor man away and bury him somewhere else but Abraham said remember good things came way in your life but not for this poor man so he is comfort here And remember to always share to and good things will come your way.

  11. Suzanne reception says:

sharing is caring.I share a lot to my family and friends. I will share my food to the poor.

  12. In this Sunday’s Gospel we read about poor Lazarus,
Pope Francis reminds us that “A simple lifestyle is suffering at the rich man’s gate – and the rich man does
good for us, helping us to better share with those in nothing to help him.
need.“ The question of a successful life is “How did
I use what God had given me to help others?”
It’s easy for us to become so caught up in the busyness
of life that we don’t even notice the needs of others or,
So, let’s not put off until tomorrow the good
worse still, ignore them. But Jesus repeatedly teaches
that we can do today. Enjoy your week and
us about fairness, sharing and kindness to others,
    help share God’s love.
    particularly to the poor.

  13. Sophia Maria (year 5) says:

Sharing doesn’t just mean that you share a toy with someone it means you help them in their hour of need. God teaches us to be selfless by helping each other. We should never ignore someone when we see that they are in need. We should help them and guide them.

  14. Gabriella y6 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is all about Sharing
Sharing means when someone gives something to one another just like Jesus did when he fed the 5000 by SHARING the five loaves of bread and two fish.Sharing is important in our daily lives as it helps us to make friendship with one another and Jesus would like us all as his children to follow his example and one of them is sharing.
In the Wednesday word Pope Francis said ” The Gospel invites us to be open to others and to share with the poor. This means that we need to open our hearts to one another even if they are your enemies because Jesus would like us to do it and if we do it he will be proud.
Sharing your heart, food and maybe some money to the poor will be a good thing as Jesus wants us to do it.It does not matter how small or little it is we still accept it and show our love towards them.
Last of all God also wants each and every one of us to share with people who are in need ,people around us and people all over the world and, just like Lazarus,to share in God’s everlasting happiness now and forever.

  15. Graceanne y6 says:

    21.09.22
Being rich does not mean that you have to make fun of people just because they are poor . when the rich does not mean to stop believing in God or Jesus , that was why when the rich died they were berried and was no with God. But the poor was. So this weeks gospel is all about sharing and i will follow this gospel by sharing with other like lending my books to people so they can read it to.

  16. In this weeks Gospel is all about sharing. Sharing makes you feel joyful through the happiness of others. If someone who is close to you at school is feeling miserable then you can share that feeling with them. This can make them feel better because they know someone understands. Sharing is not just about physical things it can knowledge, talents, qualities and feelings.

  17. 21.09.2022

Today’s week gospel I have learnt that it doesn’t matter if your rich but it matters if you are holy, you believe in God, and that you always pray. It also is that if you are holy you would come with God to heaven, but if you are rich but not holy you won’t go to heaven.

  18. Nicolas (yr 2) says:

This week‘s gospel is about sharing. If you see a poor man on the street you should help him. It is not about yourself, it is about all the people. You should help always if you see people are in need.

  19. Ophelia 😉 says:

Sharing is a part of life. If you have lots of something and someone else doesn’t, you should share it with them. That is what Jesus told us to do and we should follow him.

  20. Júlia Rocha says:

In today’s gospel I have learnt that you should help the people who need and to share things with people and to love people.

  21. Today’s gospel is teaching us that success is not measured by how rich you are but how you act towards others. Being kind and caring is what God would want us to be. If we follow God’s way we will be happy in Heaven in the end.

  22. Wednesday’s gospel was about caring for others and not just yourself. Because in heaven it does not matter how rich or poor you were but how many good deeds you did. If you are terrible as you live you will always have eternal punishment 🙁 and if you are good you will be always happy. 🙂

  23. I like sharing with my friends and with my sisters when I play with my toys.

  24. This gospel is about sharing and looking after others. The wealthy are lucky but don’t really think about the poor sitting outside their door begging for life. We have to care for others so we can all live a happy and equal life, without poverty and starvation.

  25. Sharing is a great way to help others and give to the poor or any person in need. During the next few days we can share through the food bank so we can share our food with others who have less. This Gospel talks about a rich man and a poor man. The poor man needs to take the scraps from the rich man’s meal to survive whilst the rich man gets everything he needs. Then they both die and the poor man goes to Abraham but the rich one goes to Hades. This means we should share with others and give, especially in the next few days because of the food bank. And it doesn’t matter how wealthy or poor you are, you can still share.

  26. I think this gospel is trying to tell us is that we should always be kind to one another as we are all God’s children. It’s also trying to tell us that we should give to the poor as we do not always need what we want, therefore we should give to others. In assembly, Miss Coleman was talking about how in the next week we can give to the food bank, so people who are struggling to feed their families can go to the food bank to support them.

  27. I think that this week’s gospel is all about sharing. Sharing is when you give something to others. You don’t always have to share things, you could share love, joyful moments and kindness.

  28. This weeks gospel is about sharing,we are called to share and if Jesus is in everyone then when you share you are giving to Jesus.

  29. This weeks Gospel is all about sharing. Sharing is when you give something you have to other people, but you don’t always need to share things if you don’t want to, so you can share kindness and respect to other. ❤️

  30. Mattias year 6 says:

What I like about this passage was that the rich man never understood that he should give some of his food to the poor man. Even when he went to Hades, he still hadn’t realised his sins.

  31. Gabriella y6 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is all about faith.
Faith means when you completely trust or have confidence in someone or something. Faith is important in christianity because we all believe and have faith in Jesus and we trust him in everything we do.We all should have faith in everyone because Jesus wants us to trust everyone not individual people and we show that we believe in them.Sometimes faith can help someone if the are feeling nervous or anxious as it would encourage them so they can believe in themselves and have faith in themselves that they can do it. Pope Francis said in this weeks wednesday word ” How beautiful it is to support each other in the wonderful adventure of faith.” This means that when we all support each other it is a god thing t do and it it is nice when everyone does that as that is what Jesus wants us to do.Jesus also wants us to have faith in God’s help just like st Therese. He even tells us that faith is a powerful thing and even if it is really small then it can help us to do great things.
Faith is important and we should all have faith in our hearts just like Jesus

  32. Faith is a very nice thing to do to other people. We should all have faith in our hearts.

  33. Faith is a very nice thing to do to other people. We should all have faith in our hearts.

  34. Sophia [Year 3] says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is about faith. Faith is when you trust something or someone. For example, we all have faith in God and Jesus.

  35. Helping our children to grow in faith, to know and to love God, is one of the greatest gifts we can give them. Faith in God transforms how we see the world and helps us to keep growing in our love for each other too.

  36. The Wednesday word is all about doing what you’re told to do. If you’re parents ask you to do the dishes for example you should do it in courtesy of them not be rude and talk back. The same applies with us and God, we should do what he said and not disobey him.

  37. Julian YEAR 6☆ says:

This Gospel is all about faith. The rich man didn’t give to the poor man so he didn’t go to heaven . He didn’t go because he was selfish and cared more about lumps of gold than about God. The poor man had nothing; not even food because the rich man gave him none. He went to heaven because he did little wrong and likely always praised God.

  38. This weeks gospel is all about Faith.
Having faith in God and believing in him, is the best possible gift that we can give him. If we have faith in him, he has the faith to save us and give us an eternal life in heaven.

  39. 28.09.22
This weeks gospel is all about faith and obeying.God expects us to treat everyone like he and Jesus treat us. He wants us to care for each other, love each other, have faith in each other. If no one was kind to each other and no one followed God,the world would be a miserable place for everyone. The good thing about love is that it can spread everywhere at what ever time as long as we are kind to everyone.

  40. I think this weeks Gospel is about faith.God wants us to treat each other how Jesus treated us.He wants us to be happy and joyful,Not trying to get ourselves in fights or arguments. If we weren’t happy or joyful there would be no peace, friendship and the world would be a terrible place. So we should try to be happy and try not to start a fight or argument.

  41. Sophia Maria (yr5) says:

This week’s gospel is about faith. When you have faith it does not mean you have faith in someone and they will do something for you, it means you have faith in God. He will always be there for you and help you in difficult situations as long as you believe in him. He loves you no matter what, but you need to have faith in him to feel his support.

  42. Orla Yr6🖤 says:

Having faith in God is more important than anything else we can do and just like we were told in our assembly today if we do good out of the kindness of our hearts during our life in earth gods will give us the gift of life in heaven

  43. This week’s gospel was about faith. having faith in God is much more important than anyone and everything. If we have faith in God, show kindness and do good to others we will have a good and internal life in heaven. 🙂

  44. -MalgosiaYr6- says:

This week’s gospel was about faith. having faith in God is much more important than anyone and everything. If we have faith in God, show kindness and do good to others we will have a good and internal life in heaven. 🙂

  45. Ophelia ;) 😉 says:

We should all have faith in Jesus and God. They guide us along the right path and help us when we need it. If someone turns away from God, when they come back, they will be welcomed back with open arms and everyone in heaven will celebrate and rejoice.

  46. This week’s Gospel is about Faith. Having faith for others in important but we need to have lots of faith in God. When showing faith to God then you have a great happy life.
    😄

  47. This week’s gospel is all about faith. Faith is believing in something or someone. If you have enough faith in God you can do amazing things. Jesus wants us to have more faith in God when we are in troubled times. The more faith you have in God the more chance you have of becoming an angel.

  48. This week’s gospel is all about faith and we should always have faith in others no matter what.

  49. This gospel shows us that God can help us and we can always trust him. God’s love is unconditional, trusting and following him we can grow our faith. Someone who has faith is loved and joyful.

  50. This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us about the power (and also the duty) that comes from having faith in God. Faith can ‘move mountains’; it can free us from anxiety and give us confidence and inner strength.
A family full of faith is a family full of joy. Enjoy exploring this Sunday’s Gospel and this Wednesday’s word, which is FAITH.

  51. Gabriella y6 says:

This weeks Wednesday word is all about thankfulness which mean when you are grateful for something you have have been bought or give by someone. Also it does not matter how small or big the gift is because even if it is small we will still show that we are grateful for it and that we listen to God’s word as eh said to love one another. It is good for all of us a s God’s children to be thankful to God for the blessing of his love, for our lives, our qualities, our talents, our families, our school and for the love of those around us. We also should be thankful to God’s work because he created this wonderful world which people are now trying to destroy and that is not making God happy. Also because he created us and without him we would not have had any family education and every living thing on this planet.

  52. Orla Y6🌼 says:

    05.10.22
I think that this weeks Wednesday Word is telling us not to take our blessings for granted and to always be grateful to God for all the things he has done for us because sometimes we become so accustomed to God’s kindness and love that we forget to thank him for all he has done for us.

  53. If you are thankful, it means you are happy with what you have. Jesus was always teaching how that we should be thankful for what you have not what someone else has; that is jealousy. You should thank God for what you have and never hope for more.

  54. Sophia Maria (yr 5) & Nicolas (yr 2) says:

This week’s gospel is about thankfulness.Being thankful doesn’t just mean telling God you are thankful in your prayers and your words it means showing it through your actions. When you say thank you to God you have to mean it and be grateful for everything that you have.It doesn’t just mean to thank God it means to thank everyone for what they have given you.

  55. Matthias year 6 says:

I think as well as thankfulness, the man also had faith. So I think that this passage isn’t just on thankfulness, but it has a link to faith.

  56. Julia Yr 4 says:

This week we have to treat people well, always be kind, and we must always thank God.

  57. William vdz y6 says:

This Wednesday Word is about faith, the Samaritan came back and started praising Jesus, however the others thought they were all good and could do no wrong. This is incorrect, the Samaritan had faith and he went back and still knew he had to praise God.

  58. This passage shows thankfulness ,caring and faith together. The lepers were faithful and thankful. Jesus was caring for the lepers. If you find anyone struggling on a journey, you help them whether you like them or not.

  59. The Samaritan is good because he has shown faith and gratefulness for when Jesus has helped him unlike the other nine who where not as grateful as he was.

  60. Sophia [Year 3] says:

This Wednesday Word is about thankfulness. Being thankful doesn’t mean just saying it in prayers, it means doing it through your actions to prove it. You have to be grateful and thankful for everything that God created.

  61. Today’s Gospel is about thankfulness. Being thankful to God only, doesn’t mean you can’t be thankful to others because if you aren’t thankful then no one will like you or be your friend, so it’s always nice to be thankful to others too.

  62. -BENJAMIN- says:

This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us how we can live happier
Being thankful to God puts us in the right frame of lives by giving God what is due to him. But what is due to mind. It is good for our well-being and helps us to God in our own lives.

  63. The word says no matter who you are or what you did you can redeem yourself with a strong faith.

  64. Graceanne y6 says:

The Gospel is about thankfulness this means we should be thankful for everything we have. The lepers were faithful and thankful so Jesus was caring for those lepers. We should help others especially those who are struggling.

  65. Genesis y1 says:

This weeks Wednesday word is about thankfulness and you need to say your please and thank you to everyone.

  66. This weeks gospel is all about thankfulness. Being thankful to God makes us very happy and then, he can lead us to the right path. Even in the Gospel, the Samaritan was very thankful to Jesus for giving him a blessing.

  67. This weeks Gospel is about thankfulness.Being thankful to God makes him happy and everyone else.If we be thankful to him every day, he will lead us the right path.God doesn’t only want us to be thankful to him he also wants us to be thankful to each other.

  68. This story tries to explain to us that in our everyday lives Jesus helps us. He guides to light even though we sometimes turn our back on him and do it as we please. This shows us that we are very lucky of having so much things and we need to thank God and Jesus for taking care of us every day .Every second, every minute ,at any time.
‘Be grateful’ is the message God is trying to tell us.

  69. Angie Y6 👍 says:

Being thankful means you’re grateful and pleased with the things you have. We should all be thankful to God for the things we have been given because we will be elated and have greater satisfaction in our lives.

  70. In this is tells us that God and Jesus will always help you and it says to worship Him to be grateful for what he helps.

  71. This weeks Gospel is about being thankful and it doesn’t matter about your background, for the Samaritan who is normally evil, praises God and thanks Jesus.

  72. We should all be thankful for what we have now because some people still and do live in poverty unfortunately. We should pray for them and enjoy what we have and share it with others. I’m thankful for my family because they take great care of me when I’m ill or sick and I’m thankful for my friends since they help me when I feel negative at school.

  73. KarolinaY6 says:

This Gospel tells us to be thankful for what we have. It doesn’t matter if we are rich or poor we still should be thankful for family and friends that are with us. Jesus is there for us every time, every second of our lives. Jesus is with us.

  74. As this week’s Gospel is about thankfulness we should know to be thankful and grateful for all the things God has given us.

  75. When you are thankful it means to be grateful for what someone has done for you. In this case, Jesus helps to guide us away from the darkness (turning our back on God) and he leads us into the light.

  76. This gospel shows that you don’t have to be clean or have to come from the same country to be able to show faith or belief in God, and that they will always help you no matter what.

  77. MalgosiaY6:D says:

This week’s gospel is about thankfulness. It shows that it does not matter if you are clean or dirty or from another country you can believe in God and that God will never leave you alone when you are in need.

  78. Holly Year 6 says:

I think this Wednesday Word tells us about responsibility .
An example would be if your mum said pick up your clothes and you don’t, how would she trust you to look after a pet.
Life is like a chain of responsibility. If you don’t do your part, the next person would have more to do and can’t do their tasks.
    So slowly the chain breaks.

  79. James (Y4) says:

    5.10.2022
Today’s Gospel I have learnt that you don’t have to be rich or clean, it is that you praise the lord and have a kind heart. You can also be cleansed if you are poor you just need to be humble.

  80. Gabriella y6 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is all about prayer.
Prayer is important in our everyday lives as it is a time where we can have a conversation with God or if you are stuck and you need God to guide you on the right path.
Sometimes you pray to God to ask him for forgiveness or you want to thank him for his wonderful creations.
God wants us to spend time with him through prayer and prayer helps us to work properly keeping us in good order. When you pray God will always answer your prayer as he cares and loves everyone the same way. Also God’s love is everlasting as there is no time when he is busy as he will always listen to your prayer.

  81. Jesus wanted to teach his disciples that they should always pray and never give up. So he told them a story. Jesus said, “There was a judge in a certain town who had neither fear of God nor respect for any other person.

  82. Suzanne reception says:

I pray to give thanks to God.

  83. This weeks gospel is all about Prayer. In Matthew 7:7, it talks about God giving us whatever we desire or need. All we have to do is pray, go to church and full-fill our lives in God’s word.

  84. You should never give up on yourself just to get peace. If someone wants you to do something that you don’t want to do, you don’t have to do it. Just say no, and continue what you were doing. Remember, if you beg too much, you probably won’t get anything.

  85. Sophia and Nicolas 🌈 (yr5 and yr2) says:

This week’s gospel is all about prayer . When you pray it means you are having a conversation with God. The prayers often mean that you are either saying thank you to God ,asking him to lead you onto the right path, asking him for help or requesting forgiveness. We should try to pray every day since God will always answer our prayers because his love is everlasting.

  86. This week’s gospel is all about prayer. Prayer is the our way of communicating with God. God will always listen to you even when he is busy with others. 99. This week’s Gospel is about prayer. When we pray we are talking to God.The more we pray the closer we get to God.

  100. Júlia Rocha Yr 4 says:

God wants us to always have faith, and we believe that it will always work out for God will always be with us

  101. Prayer is when you communicate with God and talk to him.

  102. In this Gospel Jesus said, “The one who can
be trusted and be honest little things can be
trusted and be honest in great; the one who
is not trusted dishonest in little things will
be not trusted dishonest in great. If then
No servant can be the slave of two masters:
he will either hate the first and love the
    second.You cannot be the
slave both of God and of money.”

trusted and be honest in great.”And Jesus also said that

    second.You cannot be the
slave both of God and of money.”

This week’s gospel is about humbleness. It shows that when you are humble and ask God for mercy and say your sins, you will be rewarded and praised by God as it said in the gospel reading.

  106. This gospel shows that God doesn’t praise people that are vain;he praises those that recognise what they have done wrong. In this paragraph,God isn’t pleased by the Pharisee. He is pleased from the tax collector. It may seem confusing, but the Pharisee thinks that he is perfect (even though he is not) and the tax collector knew and acknowledged what he had done wrong. Both of these men represent us. God’s children.

  107. This week’s Wednesday word is all about being humble.
Being humble means when you only think about yourself and think that you are better than anyone else.God does not like it when people do that as in the Wednesday word it says “those who praise themselves and think that they are better are humbled but if you humble yourself then you will praise God.”
Pope Francis said “when we live humbly, God takes our small efforts and creates great things”. Which means that we are kind to everyone and we humble ourselves. It would make God happy and he will create great things for us.

  108. Lying to God is a sin like the pharisee did. Everyone sins more than once in a lifetime. If you just admit what you have done, you won’t get hurt. You might feel better talking about them. Being humble is something you can always do. Never be too proud of yourself as it is one of the deadly sins.

  109. This weeks gospel is all about being humble.
God is pleased with those who are humble. A humble person knows that all good comes from God. In Luke 14: 11 it says,
“For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted”

  110. The gospel was about strict judge who gave a widow what she wanted so imagine what God would do if you asked.

  111. Sophia Y3🌸 says:

  115. Sophia Maria (yr 5) and Nicolas (yr 2) says:

This week’s gospel is all about being humble.Being humble means not to think highly of yourself but instead serve others and God. But you should serve everyone not just your friends but also your enemies. Sometimes people think that serving others means just serving your friends which is not what it is about. Even if you are following God’s way if you think highly of yourself what you are doing means nothing. This is why we should try to be like the tax collector.

  116. There were some people who thought they were better than everyone else. One day Jesus told them a story.”Two men went into the Temple to pray. One of them was a Pharisee and the other was a tax collector. The Pharisee stood there and said this prayer to himself, ‘I thank you, God, that I am not greedy, dishonest, and unfaithful like other people, and particularly that I am not like this sinful tax collector here.

  117. I think this week’s Gospel is about not being selfish to other people and not just caring about yourself and you can also care about other people.

  118. This weeks Wednesday Word is about being humble. God likes it when everyone is humble and generous.

  119. This week’s gospel is all about being humble. In the story there is a pharisee who is very good but he boasted about it, however the tax collector just asked for forgiveness. We should try to be like the pharisee everyday, but when we are praying we should be more like the tax collector. Lots of times it is hard to be humble because you can want to be special but remember in God’s eyes you are special. Just because you’re good doesn’t mean you can show off about it and try to be seen as more important then you really are.

  120. Graceanne y6 says:

  126. Jesus told a story about two men. One Pharisee and one Tax collector. The Pharisee looked up to heaven and said he is not sinful like the Tax collector. He fasts and he gives money to the temple, but the Tax collector didn’t look up to Heaven but bowed down and said God have mercy because I am a sinner.
So God knew that the Tax collector was showing love but the Pharisee wasn’t showing true love and kindness.

  127. This weeks Gospel is about being humble and doing this we are told to respect and be peaceful as God has told us. Without anybody being humble in the world there would be no people who are kind and care for people, so we should know to be humble and follow God.

  128. Mattias year 6 says:

This week’s Gospel is about being humble. I think you must be humble because you will notice that being humble is one of the most important things that God asks us to do. Being humble also helps other people, as well as them thinking good of you, they will be more helped and treated with kindness.

  129. KarolinaY6 says:

This week’s Gospel is all about being humble to others. If people were not humble to others then no one would show love to God. In this week’s Gospel there is a tax collector and the Pharisee. The Pharisee looked up to heaven and said he is not sinful like the Tax collector. But the tax collector didn’t look up but bowed down and said “God have mercy because I am a sinner”.
God saw the tax collector and knew that the he was showing love but the Pharisee wasn’t showing true love and kindness like the collector did.

Jesus knew that they didn’t really want an answer to their question; they were just trying to trap and embarrass him. So he gave a two-fold response to their question.

Humble means that you are calm and patient towards others.

  134. This week’s gospel is all about Heaven. I think that Heaven is what you want it to be, your own type of paradise. Heaven is the beginning and the end of your time on earth. There is only one way to reach people in Heaven, and this is by praying. Heaven is the place were we can watch over our family and friends. 138. This weeks Gospel about Heaven and if we do good action in your life you go to Heaven and God always has a space in Heaven.

  139. This weeks gospel is all about Heaven.
God made us each in his own way. We were born to make a difference on earth and to spread the gospel. God wants us all to live with him in paradise. He wants us to follow his way by praying, being more like Jesus for example giving to poor.

  140. Gabriella y6 says:

Some people sin and still go to heaven because they were sorry and asked for forgiveness. Believers go to heaven and people who got punished for doing good go to heaven because they did not let go of their faith didn’t let anyone take it away from them. These types of people deserve heaven.

  153. We believe in the resurrection and being with God in heaven. We look forward in the afterlife to being with God our Father.

  154. Matthias year 6 says:

Jesus is showing everyone about Heaven. He has a good approach to this as he knew that the Sadducees were trying to trick him, but he still calmly gave an answer.

  155. I think that this week’s gospel is about how people don’t have to have fulfilled whatever one might think is ‘important’ on Earth. When they go to Heaven all that will matter is the love that they get from God.

  156. Heaven is a place to be thanked for being a good person in the world once you die, making it really special as you are gifted to be in a better place even after death. We should not disobey God’s words of wisdom and should thank God for the wonderful world we are in, in order to reach the peaceful place called Heaven.

Everybody wants a faithful friend. Jesus offers to be our faithful friend and invites us to be his. Even though many things in the world may change, the faithful promises of Jesus will never pass away – God’s love for us will last forever.
Enjoy a special time together this evening exploring this Sunday’s Gospel and this Wednesday’s word, which is FAITHFULNESS.

  166. Matthias year 6 says:

I think that Jesus here is showing them the future, as a warning or just proof that he is the Messiah {as he can tell the future}.

  167. This weeks gospel is trying to tell us that no matter what happens you will believe in the strength of the Lord to keep you from harm. Even if the strongest storm destroys your house you will believe in the Lord to help even if your not 100% sure that he’s there for you.

  173. This week Gospel is about faith. The only person you should have all your faith in is God. Never stop putting your faith in God’s hands because he will not let you down. 186. Faithfulness is something you should keep as a promise. We should be faithful to God and only believe in him, we should pray and always stay faithful to others and God.

  187. This week’s gospel talks about when Jesus died on the cross and is also linked to our last gospel about faithfulness. In this story, the soldiers guarding Jesus’s cross mocked Him and did not respect Him as they should have.Jesus was selfless and did not want to be freed. He was thinking about everyone else that did/will do many wrong things and hadn’t/will not follow(ed) Him.He was sacrificing Himself to forgive everyone’s sins.He wants us to realise and also sacrifice ourselves to others. This story was linked to last week’s gospel (Faithfulness) because one of the criminals had faith with Jesus, and did not ask to be freed, because he said that they deserved to be hanging on the cross. The other criminal had no faith at all in Jesus and was only thinking about himself. So he said,“Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us as well.”

  188. I think this weeks Wednesday Word is telling us to love everyone especially our enemies and know that they are not bad people. Jesus had mercy on the soldiers who taunted him and we should follow his example. He also had mercy on the robbers who were also being crucified next to him. He put aside the fact that the soldiers were taunting him and treated them the same way he treated everyone else as he knew that they were good people deep down and we should also try and remember that through our actions.

  189. This gospel is all about mercy. Mercy means forgiving a person and giving them another chance. Jesus is merciful to people who are mean and unkind to him.

and even if it might get you punished. You are doing the world a favour but nobody is appreciating it. Never let people bog you down just because they think they’re doing the right thing when they actually aren’t.

  193. Some people are really kind and always give another chances so they don’t shout.
Other people will think the person cant stand up for themselves and some people will be mean.

  195. Sophia A Yr3 🍕😋 says:

    16/11/22 Mercy
This weeks gospel was about mercy. When someone trips you by accident you forgive them even if it is on purpose. Jesus is merciful to the people who are mean and unkind because it’s the right thing to do. If you are merciful you can go to heaven. Try to be merciful no matter what because it’s the right thing to do, Jesus wants us to be kind to one another.

    Sophia 😄🍔

  196. Matthias year 6 says:

I think that in this week’s gospel, the main focus is how the criminal understands what he did wrong and did not accuse or tell Jesus to save himself. Also the soldiers and everyone were mocking Jesus while he died, but this criminal understood.

  197. -_-Benjamin-_- says:

This Sunday we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. In this Sunday’s Gospel, the leaders, the soldiers and the people all mock Jesus as God’s Chosen One and as king.
Jesus’ kingship is not one of military or political power, but one of love and mercy. Jesus forgave those who crucified him. He also showed mercy to the criminal who was sorry and called him to share in his kingdom – an offer Jesus also makes to us today.

  198. graceanne y6 says:

This week’s gospel is all about mercy ,you should have mercy in others by believing in them like telling them that they can do it . If God and Jesus can do it that means that we can do it, We should remember that everyone has mercy in us even God so why don’t we have mercy on everyone?

  199. Gabriella y6 says:

This weeks Wednesday word is all about mercy. showing mercy means compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone who is hurt or sad.
Pope Francis said “Mercy is the foundation of a church’s life.May every church be a place of Mercy”.
I think this means that every church should have mercy and be a merciful place as a church is Gods house and mercy is important in our everyday life’s.
In this weeks Gospel Jesus reminds us that God wants us to forgive and show mercy just like he did.Merciful people do things out of their love and care for others and this make the world a better place.
We can all show mercy by showing love to one another and treating everyone equally with respect. Also we can show care to someone if they are sad or hurt and show empathy to them.We can even follow gods word and do the things that he wants us to do in our everyday lives and we will follow the right path.
If we show mercy everyone will start showing mercy and the world will be a better place. Also it would make God happy since we are all listening to his word.
So lets show mercy to one another.

When Jesus was on the cross, the man beside him, (on a cross too) had mercy with Jesus. He asked Jesus for forgiveness and Jesus allowed the criminal to come live with him in heaven. This shows how much Jesus can do to you if you are mercy to him.

  203. Karolina Y6👍🏻 says:

This week’s gosple is all about being marcyfull to outheres. This weeks gosple talks about the crosifiction of Jesus. 212. Fun fact! Clemence means mercy.

  213. This week’s gospel is all about mercy. God and Jesus will always show mercy to us if we have done something wrong or something breaking the rules of the ten commandments.

Each Sunday has a representation and a meaning, they all represent the Christian virtues of love, joy, hope, and peace. But the white one which is in the middle is lit on Christmas day.
During Advent we all make advent promises and prayers. when we make a promise and a prayer we give up something that is not really important for example during Advent I am gonna give up the extra time that I have playing video games but instead I am gonna help my mum or dad. I am also gonna give up keeping things that I don’t need anymore and instead I am gonna give it to some who really needs it like someone who is poor, homeless or even a charity. We can all give up something that is not really useful and instead we can do something that is useful that will make God happy. When we make God happy that means that we are following his rules and we are guided on the right path that will lead us all to success.
