Wednesday Word 10.09.25 SELF-GIVING

Self-giving is what Jesus made for us, to save us all. To be like him means to think about our friends and families, about their needs and their interests and put them before ours.
This weeks Wednesday word is all about self-giving .In the gospel Jesus said to Nicodemus that if you believe in God you may not be lost but may have eternal life.
Self giving is the will of offering your time ,love ,support and guidance to people who might need it such as poor people and people feeling lonely and sad.
self-giving is when you give people the things you have, to people who may not have the opportunity to get it and putting my selfish desires aside.
This weeks Wednesday Word is Self-Giving. Being self-giving means to put others needs before your own. It is the opposite of being selfish. Jesus was self-giving, as he sacrificed himself for us. God wants us to be like Jesus and be self-giving. We can be self-giving by offering to help before being asked, being polite and letting others go first.
This week’s Wednesday Word is self-giving. In the gospel, Jesus told Nicodemus that nobody has gone up to heaven but the one that was sent from heaven which is the Son of Man. It showed God loved the world so much that he sent Jesus to earth. Anyone who believes in Him will not be lost, but live an eternal life with Him. We could be self-giving by helping one another, sharing (toys, sweets, items, food, etc), and we could also offer to help out people cleaning the class, house etc. Overall, we should always be self-giving and we will live an eternal life with God and Jesus in heaven.
I will give to others by making friends after a fall out.
This weekโs Wednesday Word is self-giving. It is the opposite of being selfish and it means that we should put other peopleโs needs before our own.
This week’s Wednesday Word is Self-Giving. This means to willingly give up your time for people who need it. Jesus said that no one had gone up in heaven except the one who came down from heaven. God loved the world so much that he sent Jesus to save it. We should try to be more self-giving to others and follow God’s way.
This Wednesday word is self-giving jesus tells nicodemus that the son of man was sent to earth by his father God not to punish but to die so people could be freed from sin. Also the son of man would be lifted up just like Moses lifted the serpen. This tells us that God our heavenly father is so loving to sent his ownly son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to save us from sin.
Self-giving means you give away to people. God gave us his son to save us, he sacrificed for us. It is the best gift God has given us and he wants us to be nice to each other.
This weekโs Wednesday word is SELF-GIVING. The word self-giving means putting others first. It could even be just a small thing like holding the door for someone or maybe something like helping people on their work. In the gospel it tells us that no one has went from heaven and returned back to Earth.
This Wednesday word is self giving . Self giving means that you should never be selfish and you should alway help people and put others before yourself.
Self- giving means that you give people things . God gave his one and only son, Jesus who freed us from our sins that lead us to darkness and instead helped to lead people closer to God . We can follow God’s and Jesus’ examples by not being selfish and doing things for anybody who is not having a great time or giving them accessibility to do things inculding getting food and a home.
This weeks Wednesday Word is self giving.Self giving is when you give up or you do something for someone else.God said that no man can go to heaven except the one who has come from heaven which was Jesus,Gods son.Jesus was self giving when he gave his life and sacrificed himself for everyone but we can be self giving by starting with something little like remembering our manners or leaving the door open for someone else as a small change can mean a big thing for someone you have done something kind to.
The picture reminds me of Jesus saying to his disciples โGo out into the world and help me serve the peopleโ . Jesus did not come to be served but to serve us. God gave his only son to die for us.
This weekโs Wednesday Word is Trustworthy. In the gospel, Jesus was talking to his disciples. Jesus said if people can be trusted with the little things, they can be trusted with the big things. He explained to his disciples people should use money for good and not be slaves to money.
We can be trustworthy by sharing items, using our talents to help others, helping a charity, being kind, and trustworthy to our friends. By being trustworthy, we can get closer to God.
This week’s Wednesday word is Trustworthy. God trusts us and gives us the possibility to chose. If we chose to use our money, our time our talents to help others than we are chosing God,
This week’s Wednesday Word is trustworthy. In the Gospel we hear Jesus say that if you are trusted with little things like toys, stickers and so on you will be trusted with greater things like taking care of the house when someone has to go do something and at the end Jesus tells us that we can’t be slave both money or our faith in God. So this week I will pay attention to take care of all the equipment in school and at home, even if it’s mine.
This weeks word is trustworthy, it means that you do what you say youโre gonna do. God said that he believes that we will all be trustworthy to everyone.
We trust in God that he will look after us. And, trusting a friend, that they will do what they promised and believe what they say.
I trust in God that he will always be here for me. He will always give us a chance to be like him.
Trustworthy means you can keep something and make sure it’s safe.
God gave us his son, and he wants us to keep it safe in our hearts. when we do this we are trustworthy.
This week’s Wednesday word is Trustworthy. I will always tell the truth.
This week Wednesday word is TRUSTWORTHY. For me, being trustworthy is being honest. We should maintain the trust that people give to us even small or big.
The Wednesday word is trustworthy. God will always help us to find the right way and do the right thing, even if we make the wrong choice at the beginning.
This weeks Wednesday word is TRUSTWORTHY . In the gospel Jesus teaches us that if we are not trusted for little things then we will not be trusted for big things . I think the message Jesus is trying to give us is that we should never lie and never cheat on someone. Jesus and God want us to be role models to other people and show them the right way.
This week’s word is trustworthy. Jesus is trying to tell us that we should be honest and caring . We should always be trustworthy even when you know you might get in trouble.
This weeks word is trustworthy. In this story Jesus is talking to his friends. You can be trustworthy by sharing toys and other stuff you play with other peacople . Then you can be trusted with bigger jobs like running a house . You can also give to charity.
This weeks Wednesday word is Trustworthy. Jesus was explaining to his disciples that we should always put God first in our lives. He was also explaining about how people who can be trusted in little things can also be trusted in big things, and those who are dishonest in little things will also be dishonest in big things.
This weeks wednesday word is trustworthy . This means when you trust someone and that the person your relying on you know you can trust them. Just how god trusts us to follow in his footsteps.
Trustworthy is being able to be relied on.
This week’s Gospel is all about Trust Worthy.
In the Gospel ,Jesus said to them “Whoever is trusted in little
things can be trusted in great” , if people are dishonest in little
things , he is dishonest in great.
This week’s word is self-giving. Self-giving means to not be selfish and to put others before you.
This weeks word is trustworthy because in the gospel it says if your little good at something your very good at it in the inside and if you are little bit dishonest you’ll be very dishonest in the future and Jesus always lead us to
the correct path if we go on the wrong one ,Jesus always loves us and he forgives us even if we do something wrong. And we should always put God first because he is everyone’s father so we should love him like he does and respect him and also pray so everyone can be blessed by the holy spirit.
I try to be trustworthy by telling the truth and not telling lies
If someone needs help, you can sometimes help them by giving them money.
This weekโs Wednesday Word is SHARING. In this week’s gospel, Jesus told the Pharisees about a rich man and a poor man. The rich man wore the best clothes and consumed the best food, while the poor man called Lazarus had no food to eat. The rich man never shared.
Eventually, Lazarus died and lived in heaven with Abraham. When the rich man died, he didn’t go to heaven and begged Abraham for water because of the heat. Abraham said he lived a good life on earth and it was Lazarus’ turn to live a good life in heaven.
The moral of this week’s gospel is to share. We can give up our time to help at home, at school and church. We can also share our toys, books, and help each other with tasks.
This weekโs Wednesday word is trustworthy.Jesus said to us that we cannot choose both God and money. It is like multitasking or doing more than one thing at once as itโs easier to do only one thing instead. It is the same with God, you can only either choose God or money.Jesus would want us to choose God over money as it will help us become closer and help us to grow closer to him with trust. In one of Jesusโs parables, a manager is fired by his master for lying and putting up peoples taxes. The manager then realises what he did and goes to the town people to build trust by saying to them if they owe his master 100 barrels of wheat to lower it to 80. His master realises what the manager has done and gives him his job back. It is important to build trust with friends and others as well as God so we can be able to go to heaven and so that God is happy and pleased with us as well.
This week’s Wednesday Word is trustworthy. The word trustworthy means someone you can count on because they are honest, reliable, and always try to do the right thing.
This weeks Wednesday Word is Trust worthy were Jesus sayes that if your trusted with little your trusted in Great so Jesus said if your not trusted in things that arn’t yours then how can you be trusted in your own things this Gospel reading tells us that if we arn’t trusted with are own things then how will we be trusted in other peoples stuff that don’t belonge to us.Also we have a chance to chose between “money or God”when Jesus came to earth he was rich but changed to poor for our sake and died on the cross to set us free from sin.
I want to be trustworthy by helping the poor and everyone even the ones which I donโt know. I help them, because I just want to be trustworthy.
This week’s Wednesday Word is SHARING. God doesn’t want us to stand by ourselves. He wants us to share our money, the things we love and and our talents with the others. This is the only way to make them shine.
This weeks Wednesday word is Sharing. Jesus was telling the Pharisees about a rich man who wore the best clothes and ate the best food. There was a poor man who sat outside the rich man’s house, who had sores and wanted to eat scraps from the rich man’s house. The poor man eventually died and went to heaven, but the rich man did not. We should share with the poor and needy. We can do this by giving to our local food bank, donating toys and clothes to charity and many more things.
The lesson from this Gospel is โdo not ignore the poorโ. If the poor need help, do not ignore them please I beg you.
I would like to share my packet of crisps with a homeless person.
This weeks Wednesday Word is Sharing. Jesus told the Pharisees “There once lived a rich man who had good clothes and good food to eat, there was this poor man who sat outside the rich man’s house and had sores ate scraps from the rich man’s house. The poor man died and went to heaven , but the rich man did not, We can share by giving the poor supplies to surive and giving food to our local food bank.
This week’s word is sharing. In this weeks gospel, Jesus told the Pharisees there was a rich man who had many food and even big feasts .There was also a poor man near the gate of the rich man’s house. He was called Lazarus. He was covered in sores and when dogs passed they would lick his sores. After a few days the poor man has died and also the rich man and now they were in bosom of Abraham. When the rich man came to Abraham’s bosom , he saw Lazarus with Abraham in the distance and shouted, ” Father Abraham, have pity on me and tell him to dip his finger on water and cool my tongue for I am in this heat. ”. ” Abraham said, “in your life you were rich and had every food while Lazarus was poor and had bad injuries and also was starving to death . So you had a good life it’s now his turn to be comfortable”. Now the rich man is not in heaven and is in the opposite side of heaven. So this gospel tells that you need to share things with the poor and give it to the charity so it can go to other parts of world to go to other poor people.
This weeks Wednesday word is sharing. In the gospel there was a rich man and a poor man.Whilst the rich man enjoyed feasts and wore expensive clothes, outside the poor man survived on scraps of the rich manโs food so weak he let dogs come to lick his wounds. When the poor man died though, he went to heaven and lived with the angels for everlasting but when the rich man died, he went to hell. This gospel tells us that you shouldnโt keep all of what you have and that to live a good and happy life, you will have to share with your fellow people. This doesnโt mean to just give to your friends and close ones, it also means to give to even the people you least like.Jesus said to love your neighbour as much as you love yourself and then you will go to heaven.Just like the patriot Saint of our school, (st Vincent de Paul)we to should share to one another for a sin free life with God.
I will share my food for the harvest and the food banks so that other people can have some. I think God would be pleased.
This weekโs Wednesday Word is FAITH. In this weekโs gospel, Jesus told the Apostles about having faith in God and believing anything is possible. Jesus said we can move mountains if we believe in God, and have faith in Him. Jesus used the example of the mustard and mulberry tree to show the importance and power of faith.
This weekโs gospel is teaches us to have faith in God. We can show and grow our faith by praying, listening to the homily at church, reading the bible, and praying for our family and friends to help grow their faith.
This Wednesday word is Faith. This means to trust God and to know that he loves us and looks after us.
I turn to God when I need help. I have Faith in God.
Faith means to me that people know God and follow God. I am Faithful by following God’s way.
This week’s Wednesday Word is sharing. Sharing it’s a way to be kind and generous, making someone else happy and building friendships. I let others to have a turn with my things, like toys and food.
This week’s Wednesday Word is Faith. Faith is like a special kind of trust or confidence in someone or something. It means believing that something good will happen, being completely confident in a person or idea.
This weekโs Wednesday word is Faith. The word faith means to believe and trust in Jesus and God and be confident. In the gospel this week, the apostles asked Jesus to give them more faith. But Jesus said thisโ If you faith is the size of a mustard seed, you can do great things. If you ask this mulberry tree to pull itself out of the soil and plant itself into the sea, it would obey youโ. In this, Jesus means that when you have a smaller amount of something you can grow up to big things like when you are a baby you grow up into a grown up.
This week’s Wednesday word is FAITH .Faith means belief in God
This Wednesday Word is about faith. My thoughts on this reading are: โDear Jesus help me to know faith better and help me to follow Christ.โ Whatever I do wrong, please forgive me. Amen.
When gods says to plant a tree and take care of it he means you have to take of your faith to make it grow like a tree and trust your faith.
I will show faith by praying with my family.
This weeks word is faith .Jesus is telling us to have faith. Faith is like a tree it starts of like a seed then it grows into a tree . You can show faith by praying to Jesus
This week’s word is faith. You can show your faith to Jesus by following his and God’s examples. Jesus told us to have faith in people and yourself inculding your friends and family.
This week’s word is FAITH. Faith is to trust in the love that God has for us. It is a very big power that can make everything come true. Because nothing is impossible to God.
This week’s Wednesday word is Faith. The parable of the mustard seed teaches us that a tiny mustard seed can grow into very large and impactful big tree. This shows that God’s Kingdom started small with Jesus and his disciples, but it has grown to include many people around the world and in my school.
We can do this in our everyday life by doing small acts of kindness, like sharing with others or being a good kind friend. These deeds can make a big difference in someones life and help God’s love grow and my faith grow.
It is said that “Faith can move mountains.” ๐
This weeks Wednesday Word is Faith- I will show faith by believing in God.
Being thankful to God makes our hearts happy!
This week’s Wednesday word is THANKFULNESS . For me, I am thankful God created me and my family. For my house. To be able to go to school . And my food I eat .
This week’s Wednesday word is thankfulness . God wants us to be thankful for what he does for us .We should not want and want and ask for more, sometimes we should also give and say thank you for what we already have.
This weekโs Wednesday word is THANKFULNESS. It means to be greatful of all the opportunities and gifts we receive from God. We can be thankful by saying in our prayers that we have enough food and water to live.
This week I will be thankful to God for the trees and animals.
I show my thankfulness to my family by loving them. I am also thankful for my friends and teachers.
This week’s Wednesd@y word is THANKFULNESS. Thankfulness to me means to appreciate others and that parents are safe to be with. It also means to appreciate everything and everyone that God loves and that we are all God’s children. And even old people.
This weekโs Wednesday Word is THANKFULNESS. In this weekโs gospel, ten men with leprosy came to Jesus and were healed. Only one of the ten men praised God, and came back to thank Jesus for healing him. He demonstrated his gratitude and thankfulness to Jesus for curing him of leprosy.
The moral of this weekโs gospel is to be thankful. We can demonstrate thankfulness by praying and thanking God, being thankful to our families and teachers for helping us, being thankful to our friends when they help us, and showing kindness to others.
This weeks Wednesday Word isThankfulness.God gave us earth, life and people to love and care for us.We should take time each day to thank God for everything he has done for us.
From this weekโs Gospel I learnt that it is good to be thankful for what you have and like in the Gospel when one Samaritan thanked Jesus for healing him I would like to be more thankful for the things I get.
I am thankful to God and all the people who help me to learn and grow. I am thankful for the people who are teaching me how to do the rosary.
I am thankful for the earth and the planets, and for the days. I am thankful to be able to help people who are poor.
This weekโs word is Faithfulness. In the gospel Jesus says to always thank God like the one who was healed. If you have faith in God then you live a happier life.
This week’s Wednesday Word is Thankfulness. Thankfulness means to me that we have to be thankful for everything in life such as health, family, friends, God, food, education and many, many more.
This Wednesday word is Thankfulness. In the Gospel, Jesus met ten lepers. Jesus cleansed these men of the disease while they were walking away. Finding themselves cleansed, they ran to the priests to show them what had happened. But one leper ran back to Jesus, giving him thanks. He fell on his face, at Jesus’ feet, praising God.
The man who thanked Jesus was being thankful. Sometimes, when we ask God for something, and he gives it to us, we forget to say thank you. We should say thank you to God in advance. This is called ‘giving thanks in expectation’.
This weeks Wednesday word is Thankfulness. Being thankful is when you are graceful to someone who has done something very important to you. This shows that you are thankful.
If you have faith in God he can help you and support you. However you have to be thankful for Godโs love. You should also be thankful for your life, your family, your friends.
This weekโs Wednesday Word is PRAYER. In the gospel, Jesus was teaching his disciples about the importance of prayer. Jesus told them a parable about a Judge and a widow. The widow kept asking the Judge for justice but he refused and eventually agreed after she kept pestering him.
The moral of this gospel is to be prayerful, as God doesn’t see constant prayers as pestering like the Judge. Prayer brings us closer to God. We can be prayerful by praying to God often, praying at church, at home, and praying for our family and friends.
This weekโs Wednesday is prayer. Prayer means to have special time with God. When you pray and you think Gos is not answering , do not give up because is God is good and he will answer you.
What stood out for me was the judge who did not respect other people. People are special and you should take care of them even if you donโt want to. The judge was not a very good judge.
This week’s word is “prayer”. Prayer is the best way we have to be in contact with God. Praying is like speaking with God. He is our father and is always there to hear from us and happy to help.
My favourite prayers are the St. Vincent’s school prayer and my bedtime prayers.
Prayer is talking to God and knowing He always listens.
It is important to pray to God because it can save us from sin and help us to be better people. I like to pray to God in Church and when things are tough.
This weekโs word is prayer. God doesnโt give up on you and believes in you even if you turn away. (like the judge). he is persistent like the widow until you cone back to him.
Prayer allows us to be closer to God, our families and friends. I like to pray at night before I go to bed and in the day when I am at school.
This week’s Wednesday Word is Prayer. Prayer means telling God thank you, saying sorry for mistakes, asking for help with things. Prayer is important because it helps us to stay close to God, when we pray, we are opening up our hearts to Him.
This weeks Wednesday word is Prayer. In the gospel, Jesus taught his disciples the importance of prayer. There was a judge who had no fear of God or respect for any person. A widow kept pestering him, asking him for justice against her enemy. After a while, the judge said yes, because if he didn’t, the widow would worry him to his death. ”If the judge, who had no fear of God, helped the widow, then how much more would God help a person who prayed every day,” said Jesus.
This parable tells us that we should pray every day. We can pray any time of the day. While walking to school, at home, at church, at school, anywhere.
This week’s Wednesday word is PRAYER. It is important to pray since it helps us benefit our relationship with God and other people. When you pray to God and say thank you or please politely, he will grant you many things. We can show this by praying in our spare time instead of playing with something else. Praying is one of the ways to reflect with God. After you pray, you can learn many things inculding growing in goodness by showing the virtues you have and to go to church every week to have the Eucharist. We can pray the rosary with Mary in our spare time aswell. We can come with a happy smile to school every single day and reflect on Collective Worship.
This week’s word is prayer . Jesus tells us to be closer to God and to pray every day. If you pray and say sorry for what you have done, God will forgive you and help you with daily things in life . Jesus is telling us if you pray and say sorry for what you have done you will eventually get closer to God .The widow kept persisting until the unjust judge said yes but if you pray to God and admit what you have done wrong your problems . In your free time you can sit down in a quiet space and pray to God and Jesus .Praying can benefit your relationship with God and other people . The moral of the parable is if you pray to God you will get stuff quicker. You can try to go to church every week to receive the Eucarist and reflect about your choices. You can also reflect in collective worship.
This weekโs Wednesday word is PRAYER. A prayer is a time of relaxation and where we reflect on our sins and choices, we can say in our prayers to thank God, and to protect those in need it is also a way we can speak to God. In the Gospel, Jesus tells a story. There is a judge a widow, the judge isnโt afraid of God and didnโt have any care for other people. The widow is always asking the judge to give justice but he refuses until he says this โI have neither fear of God or care for anyone but this widow keeps pestering me so I shall give her what she request from me so she will stop annoying me.โA way we can pray more is by remembering to pray before bed and we all pray before we eat our food and in assemblies on Friday(on class assemblies there is a prayer at the end) on Mondays (as a school we come together and we pray our school prayer) and before lunch everyday (we say our prayers before lunch whether it is the KS1 prayers or KS2 prayers).
This week’s Wednesday word is prayer. Prayer is a special way to communicate with God. Prayer is also meant for reflecting your choices you made. Jesus told the story of “their was a judge in a certain town who had neither fear of God nor respect for any other person. In the same town there was a widow who kept on coming to him and saying ,I want justice from you โ For a long time the judge refused, but at last he said to himself, โMaybe I have neither fear of God nor respect for any other person, but since she keeps pestering me I must give this widow her just rights, or she will continue coming and worry me to death.โโ Then Jesus said, โIf even the unjust judge eventually helped this woman who didnโt give up, then how much more will God, who is good, help those who pray to him every day.โ against my enemy.
This week Wednesday word is self-giving is when you give time up and give to people stuff that they might not have or canโt get the privilege to have and putting your selfish ways in the past and thinking about friends and family to spend time with them even if itโs a day of a month putting people and thinking about them before are self that is want God teaches us about in the bible
Prayers is talking to God and knowing he is always listening. In my prayers I thank god for everything he gave to me. I love my prayer which is my bedtime prayer.
This weekโs Wednesday Word is HUMBLE. In the gospel, Jesus wanted to encourage and teach people about not being boastful so he told them a parable. The parable was about two men – a tax collector and a pharisee. Both were praying to God in the temple. The Pharisee was praying to God about holy he was and fasting twice a week, but the tax collector asked God for forgiveness and was humble by not looking up to the heavens when praying.
We can act humble by not being boastful, using our talents to help people, and not showing off. For example, we can help our friends with maths, spelling, and things they may struggle with.
This weekโs word is humble. In the gospel the Pharisee was doing better than the tax collector but he was boasting about it and God wants us to always be humble and thanks for what skills we have.
I am going to pray to God to say thank you for my gifts.
This weekโs Wednesday word is Humble. In the Gospel there was a Pharisee who went to the temple to pray to God. There was also a tax collector in the distance praying as well. The Pharisee was saying โ God, I am thankful that I am not greedy, dishonest or unfaithful like this sinful tax collector here. I fast twice a week and give money to the Templeโ. But the tax collector saidโ Lord, please heave mercy on me for I am a sinner.โ
In the end, the Pharisee was boasting and the tax collector was the person actually praying to God
This week’s Wednesday Word is humble. It is important to be humble and not boast. You can still be a good person and know that our gifts come from God. This story teaches me that being humble is about being honest about what we can be better at. To be humble is to say you are not so good at something that you can ask for God’s help to do better.
Being humble means it’s okay to make mistakes, sometimes we try not to make mistakes, but some good can come from mistakes. You don’t have to worry about your mistakes, but you have to tell God about them and ask for help.
This week’s Wednesday word is humble. We should humble ourselves to God. We should be sorry for the things that we done wrongly. We should not compare ourselves to others like the Pharisee did in the Gospel.
We don’t have to be afraid to show our weaknesses because this means that we are humble and God always love us.
This week’s word is HUMBLE. We don’t have to be too confident in our talents, but we have to be grateful to God for them. And use them to serve God and to help others.
This weeks word is humble . In this story there are two characters ,a tax collecter and a pharisee. Even though pharisee did better in his life he boasted about the things he had done , although the tax collecter said sorry and he was humble .Being humble is when you do something good and you do not show off .You can do this by doing good choices and being humble .
This week’s word is HUMBLE. You shouldn’t boast when you are praying to GOD because if you do, then God won’t grant you the forgiveness you need to get closer to him. The Pharisee did boast in his prayer because he wanted to show the good things that he had done in his life. Because the Tax Collector did not boast he became humble.
