This week’s Wednesday word is Follow. Follow means to be more like Jesus, to follow in his footsteps and to be a follower or disciple of Jesus.

Today, I can be a follower of Jesus by thanking him in prayer for the day, going to church more often or just doing simple acts of kindness to make someone’s day.

  2. Nicolas yr5 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is FOLLOW. Jesus is like a shepherd looking after his flock. He helps us to make the right choices and live a good life.

  3. This week’s Wednesday Word is follow. In the Gospel Jesus said that if anyone went through his gate to the pasture they would be safe.If we follow Jesus we will have eternal life.We can follow Jesus by praying to him more often and following his example by putting others first.

  4. Alexander Y5 :) says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is FOLLOW. In the gospel, Jesus is talking to His disciples. He tells them that anyone who enters the pastures through the gate is safe, but
    any other entrance is unsafe.

We can follow Jesus by: forgiving others no matter what, praying to God whenever you need to; at the end of the day before bed, in the afternoon or in the morning. We should always follow God- then we will go to Heaven.

  5. This weeks Wednesday Word is Follow, In the gospel Jesus tells us that if we do not pass through the gate but get in some other
way we are a thief and a brigand. Whereas if we go into the gate we are the shepherd of the flocks.
I think that Jesus wants us to understand that he is the way and the good shepherd . That means that we should always follow Jesus’ words and think twice before doing something that we know is wrong.
He is the patient shepherd who never gives up on us.

  6. Elisa Y 6 says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is FOLLOW. Jesus is the Good Shepherd because he leads us through the difficulties of life and helps us to make the right choices.

  7. Flavia y2 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is FOLLOW. God loves us like shepheard loves his sheep and he cares about us and never stops forgiving us and he expect from us to be kind and love everyone like he loves us.

  8. This weeks Wednesday word is FOLLOW.

This week I am going to FOLLOW Jesus and God by being KIND. Because Jesus
and God show love to the world.

  9. Aldrin Y4 '--' says:

This week’s Wednesday word is follow. In the Gospel , Jesus said that whoever enters a sheepfold not through the gate is a thief and a brigand but anyone who enters through his gate is the shepherd of the flock. We can also follow his example by letting others go before us.

  10. Alendrina says:

This weeks Wednesday word is FOLLOW. In the Gospel Jesus spoke these words “I tell you, anyone who enters through a different than the door they are more of a thieve but if anyone enters through the gate is the owner of all the flocks .” ,but the disciples did not understand what Jesus had said so he repeated what he said but with four more words “I am the door.” This means that we can follow Jesus and treat the world with resspect.

  11. The word that stood out for me is ‘full’ because Jesus said we should have life to the full. l think that means we should have life ever – lasting. If we follow Jesus we will never die but go to heaven to be with Jesus.

  12. Florence Y5 😋🍱 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Trust. In the gospel, Jesus explained that he was going to be crucified and the disciples had no one to trust. So Jesus told them that someone will come and guard them which would be the Holy Spirit.

The disciples trusted Jesus that he will be with the disciples.

  13. This week Wednesday word is Trust. Jesus said you should always follow him and trust him. You will be closer to God because God and Jesus are the same. You shouldn’t be afraid in life because Jesus is always here if you trust him.

  14. Bethan Y1 says:

If someone is on the rainbow bench, I will help them and play with them to show they can trust me.

  15. Alexander Y5 :) says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is TRUST. In the gospel, we see Jesus talking to the disciples before He died. He told them not to let their hearts be troubled. He also said to trust in God always and says He is the way, the life and the truth. Jesus says that if they trust in me, they can perform miracles.

  16. Nicolas yr 5 says:

This week‘s Wednesday word is TRUST. Like the disciples we should trust Jesus and bring Jesus‘ love to the people around us. It is not always easy, but we should try our best.

  17. Flavia y2 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is TRUST.Jesus sais the only way to heven is through him.we have to follow him spreading love and peace.p

  18. This weeks Wednesday word is trust.
In the gospel , Jesus’ disciples learnt a lesson to always trust God and that Jesus is always the right answer. Jesus tells his disciples,”There are many rooms in my Father’s house, and I am going now to prepare a place for you. I will come again and take you with me so that where I am, you may be too.” Jesus is trying to tell his disciples that he will soon go to heaven . So, wherever we are Jesus is always with us in our hearts. Heaven is open to everyone who chooses to follow God.

  19. Feodora y1 says:

This weeks Wednesday word is trust.
On the night before Jesus died, Jesus’s disciples learnt a lesson and he said ‘do not let your hearts be in trouble trust God and me there are many rooms in my Fathers house. This week I will trust in Jesus and God. I will also be kind this week by listening to the teacher and if someone is calling me names or being unkind I will say it to the teacher.

  20. Alexander Y5 :) says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is HELPER. In the gospel, Jesus said to his disciples that if they love Him, they will keep his commandments. He also says He will ask the Father for a helper that will be with the disciples. He says He will come back to them.

This is before the Ascension and Pentecost. Jesus is talking about when the Holy Spirit will rest on them, and give them the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We can be helpers by donating to the poor, sharing, standing up for one another and by helping others in need.

  21. Nicolasyr5 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is HELPER. Jesus sent us the Holy spirit which helps us because the Holy spirit gives us gifts like counsel which helps know right from wrong. We can help each other by helping our classmates.

  22. This week’s Wednesday Word is Helper. In the Gospel Jesus says to His disciples that He will leave them soon but that He would send them a helper.I think the Holy Spirit is this helper and in the Gospel Jesus calls It the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit can help us live like Jesus because It gives us the Gifts such as Fortitude and Knowledge. With the Holy Spirit’s help these gifts work in us and they give us the Fruits such as joy and patience which people see on the outside.

  23. Alendrina says:

This weeks Wednesday word was HELPER. In the gospel Jesus talks about love and especially a helper while he was gone. He said the helper will always be with us and help us. This was the Holy Spirit called The Spirit of Truth. Then Jesus says this “The neither sees nor knows this spirit but you know the spirit is within you,”. This teaches Christians to love and help each other .

  24. Leopold says:

This week’s Wednesday word is about asking God to be our helper to be good and search for the truth. We can be helpers as well even by doing little things and following Jesus’ steps.

  25. Maja y1 says:

The word that stood out for me is helper because JESUS said l will pray to my father and he will give me a helper. A helper is good to be because it is something that shows LOVE. A helper is a friend! We need friends to be our helpers and to show love to us forever and forever! A helper is love!

  26. Apolline says:

This week’s Wednesday word is HELPER. In the Gospel Jesus said’If you love me you will keep my commands. I will ask the Father, and he will give you a helper to be with you forever.’ We all know that Jesus always keeps his promises and would never lie to us. As always he kept his promise and sent the Holy Spirit to guide us. We always have to remember that the Holy Sprit is within us to help us when things are too hard for us, when we feel upset and when we are sick. But most of all we have to remember that the Holy Spirit is always within us!

  27. Florence Y5 😋🍱 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is HELPER. In the gospel Jesus talks about that he will leave the Earth. But he will send the Holy Spirit to guide them. Although Jesus might not be physically be on earth, He will be with us in our hearts and by the Holy Spirit.

We can be a helper today by protecting God’s planet or helping others when they need it.

  28. Ferdinand Y2 🥓🥓 says:

This weeks Wednesday word is Helper. In the Gospel, Jesus said He will send them a helper to be with them forever. I can be a helper by helping others when they are in need.

  29. Elisa y6 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is HELPER. Jesus says the Holy Spirit will come and help disciples to understand his word. But the Holy Spirit is always there to help anyone of us to feel God’s love, specially when we don’t have enough hope.

  30. Bethan Y1 says:

This week I will be a helper by helping my friends with their work if it is tricky.

  31. Flavia y2 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is HELPER. The Holy Spirt is the helper that Jesus send to all of us so that we could have faithfulness, kindness, self control and joy. So we should let the Holy Spirit help us and follow the word of Jesus.

  32. Jesus has taught the disciples, his friends about the words of God. Jesus’ friends have followed and will spread the words. As Jesus did you can help your friend, support them and follow Jesus’ example.

  33. Alexander Y5 :) says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is FRIENDSHIP. This gospel is set near the time of the Last Supper. In the gospel, Jesus is praying to God. He says that it is the hour that God will glorify Jesus. He also prays for all of His followers. I think this suggests that Jesus is God and God is Jesus.

We can show friendship\become better friends by listening to others, forgiving like Jesus did, and by donating; it does not have to be big!

  34. Nicolasyr5 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is FRIENDSHIP. Jesus is our friend and helps us with the holy spirit. The holy spirit helps us by guiding us.Friends are a great blessing, they help us through difficult times and also guide us.

  35. Bethan Y1 says:

Friendship means you are kind, encouraging and you include others in your games. Jesus wants us to be a good friend and try to like him.

  36. Flavia y2 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is friendship.Jesus says if you are someone’s friend you support them. Jesus also says he will always be our friend and never live us behind.

  37. This weeks Wednesday is friendship . We can show friendship by being trustworthy and supportive. We all have a friendship with God because he is always here for us ,supports us and is trustworthy. In the gospel, Jesus prays to God and also prays for his disciples and shows friendship .

  38. Alexandra Y5 says:

This weeks Wednesday word is FRIENDSHIP. Friendship is a connection between people that may share similar interests. This weeks Gospel is all about the Ascension, where Jesus ascended into heaven. We can create better friendships by understanding others and always being there for others.

  39. The word that stood out for me is ‘pray’ because JESUS said to GOD l will pray to you and I will pray for my Disciples. Jesus was preparing for the minute he would have to go forever. After the Disciples had died the church carries on with his mission forever.

  40. Florence Y5 😋🍱 says:

The Wednesday word is PENTECOST. Pentecost is the time when the Holy Spirit came down in the form of fire and wind but we can also recognise the Holy Spirit as a dove. The disciples felt worried, anxious but excited. They probably felt this because Jesus was not with them so they had no one to talk to or listen to. But when the Holy Spirit came, the disciples felt blessed because they knew that Jesus was with them.

So today, we can act like the disciples by even if we don’t have Jesus with us physically here with us on Earth, we can pray , go to church , and listen in RE lessons. In those actions, we know that Jesus will always be with us.

  41. This week’s Wednesday Word is Pentecost. In the Gospel Jesus said to the disciples “receive the Holy Spirit.” At Pentecost the disciples received the Holy Spirit so that they could go and tell everyone about Jesus. In our lives we receive the Holy spirit at the Sacraments of Confirmation and Baptism.

  42. Pentecost is when the disciples gather together and receive the Holy Spirit sent by God. They are filled with joy and they will start to spread Jesus’ words

  43. This weeks Wednesday word is Pentecost . In the gospel ,Jesus shows his holes in his hands, his feet and side and the disciples recognise him . Then Jesus gives the disciples the gift of the holy spirit. We receive the Holy Spirit at Baptism, which cleanses our sins and makes us a child of God.

  44. Maja year1 says:

The word that stood out for me is ‘law’ because JESUS said Nicodemus was the teacher of the law. I think the Holy Trinity is about people believing in GOD and JESUS and having lots and lots of faith. The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost in the shape of flames.

  45. This weeks Wednesday word is nourish .
Nourish means to give ( provide something or someone with food and nutritions . ) In the gospel , Jesus says : Whoever eats the bread will live forever and that the bread is his flesh .
I think that what he means is that we should always take what Jesus gives as it is the right thing .

  46. -_- Aldrin -_- says:

This weeks Wednesday word is Nourish. In the Gospel, Jesus said whoever eats the living bread will live forever. The bread he is talking about is his flesh and he’ll give his flesh for the life of the world. The people who eat the bread will live for eternal life and he’ll raise them up on the last day.

  47. ⚜alendrina⚜ says:

This weeks Wednesday word is nourish. In the Gospel Jesus said ” I am the living bread which has come down from heaven.” meaning he was holy and the bread he provides is also holy. From what I learned from the gospel was that the bread Jesus provides is holier than any other bread.

  48. This week‘s Wednesday Word is called Nourish. l think Nourish means that somebody is loving somebody else and giving them what they want to grow. Friendship is exactly the same as nourishment. I think when JESUS said he is the Bread of Life he meant that he is GOD.

  49. The 12 disciples have been sent to people to help everyone and respect everyone equally. They must tell everyone that God’s Kingdom is close if you live a good life.

  50. Florence Y5😋🍱🍈🍣 says:

The Wednesday word is God’s Kingdom. We are all part of God’s Kingdom so we are all treated fairly.

  51. Ferdinand Y2🍣🍜 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is GODS KINGDOM.We are part of God’s kingdom so we all get treated fairly.

  52. Flavia y2 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is God’s Kingdom. We are all part of God’s big Kingdom so we should live all together in peace and harmony. Be cause we are exactly the same for Jesus.

  53. Elisa Y 6 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is God’s Kingdom. Jesus sent the 12 disciples to spread the good new that he came to save all of us and that God’s Kingdom is close.

  54. -_- Aldrin -_- says:

This week’s Wednesday word is God’s Kingdom. In the Gospel, Jesus looked at the crowds and felt sorry for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his twelve disciples, “The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to his harvest.” Jesus gave the twelve disciples the power to heal all kinds of sickness. The names of the twelve disciples were Simon who is called Peter, Andrew, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John, Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector, James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot.

  55. ⚜alendrina⚜ says:

This weeks Wednesday word is God’s Kingdom. In the gospel it says that Jesus gave them the permission to take away all skin diseases and illness. Jesus also says the name of the disciples. This teaches us to learn from our mistakes and respect others.

  56. ALEXANDER Y5;) says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is God’s Kingdom. In the gospel, Jesus felt sorry for some people who did not have a leader, so He asked the disciples to take care of the people. Jesus started addressing everyone about God’s kingdom.

Based on this gospel, we can share and help others in our community when they are lonely and be their leader, like a shepherd leading his flock.

  57. Bethan Y1 says:

We are all Jesus’s disciples when we behave nicely. God’s kingdom is in our hearts.

  58. The person that brings love, joy and God‘s Kingdom to me is my teacher Miss McCarry! And the word that stood out for me is ‘charge’ because I liked that Jesus asks us to give free of charge as we have received free of charge.

  59. This weeks Wednesday word is God’s kingdom. When we die we will be welcomed to God’s kingdom and it will have no end . In the gospel , Jesus sees people being treated very badly ( like sheep without its shepherd ).Jesus says , The harvest is rich but the labourers are few. He asks his disciples to ask the Lord of the harvest to
send labourers to his harvest .

  60. This weeks word is courage this means that you stay strong and know whats ahead of you .

  61. Today’s Wednesday word is Courage. You shouldn’t be scared as God will be always with you to support, help and guide you.

  62. This weeks Wednesday word is courage , courage means to be strong and to believe in yourself. In the gospel, Jesus tells the disciples not to be frightened and that God has power over both body and soul. Jesus told the disciples :” For everything that is now covered will be uncovered, and everything now hidden will be made clear. What I say to you in the dark, tell in the daylight. ”

  63. This week’s Wednesday word is COURAGE. Jesus says that we should always spread the word without being scared, because we had to trust in God’s love and let him lead us.

  64. This week’s Wednesday word is COURAGE. We don’t have to be afraid because God is with us. Jesus says that we must have the courage to spread the Gospel. We have to trust Jesus because only he knows what is going to happen in our life.

  65. -_- Aldrin -_- says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is Courage. In the Gospel Jesus said “Do not be afraid. For everything that is now covered will be uncovered, and everything now hidden will be made clear”.

I think what he meant by this was we can spread the gospel without being scared or nervous because God is with us.

  66. ⚜️💮ALENDRINA💮⚜️ says:

This week’s Wednesday word is courage. In the Gospel , Jesus instructed his disciples not to be afraid because every secret will be revealed, nothing will be hidden, everything in the dark will come to light, to everyone and open my teachings and word to every person in the world. Fear God not man. A man kills just a body but God has control over body and soul. Our lives are more worth than hundreds of sparrows. Jesus wants us to keep hold of our precious lives from God so we learn more about Christianity and how God wants us to live. What I learned from the Gospel was God loves us dearly and wants us to live a wonderful life.

  67. This week’s Wednesday Word is Faith. In the Gospel Jesus gave Peter the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. This was because he was faithful. We can be faithful by following Jesus’ example.

  68. Sofia M Y5 says:

This weeks Wednesday word is FAITH. In the gospel Jesus gives Peter the keys to the kingdom of Heaven. Jesus did this because he is faithful to Peter and he trusts Peter. We can be more like Jesus by being faithful to others. We can do this by being kind and loyal to others which is not talking behind others backs.

  69. Hermine Year 5 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is FAITH. In the gospel ,Jesus asks Simon Peter who he thinks He is. Peter replies that Jesus is the Son of the living God. Peter does not know this because he was told this. He knows this because he believes this. Saint Peter has faith which enables him to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

  70. -_- Aldrin -_- says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is Faith. In the gospel Jesus said to the people around him “Who do you think I am” A person named peter came up to him and said “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God” replied Peter. Jesus was amazed so he said ” Simon son of Jonah, you are an happy man , for this message didn’t come from anyone else but my father in Heaven”

  71. Faith means to believe and to trust because you can’t always see God. If you have faith God will have faith in you as Peter was trusted by Jesus and given of the keys of heaven.

  72. Flavia y2 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is FAITH. Jesus gave Peter the keys of Kindgdom of Heaven because of his faith. God and Jesus want us to be faithfull like Peter, so that we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven and rejoice.

  73. This weeks Wednesday word is faith , faith means to have a strong belief or to have confidence in someone or something . In the gospel, Jesus asks Simon Peter, ”Who do you think I am ?”
Peter responds , ”You are the Christ, the son of the living God.” This shows faith because he shows how strongly he believes in his religion. Jesus then says that on this rock where I will build my church. When a new Pope is chosen we believe that he is the new Peter.

  74. This week’s Wednesday word is FAITH.Faith means that someone has a strong belief on God!!Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom to Peter because he had strong faith on Jesus.

  75. This Wednesday Word is FAITH .
The word that stood out for me is ‘rock’ because Jesus said to Peter ‘you are my rock, on you I shall build my church’ . Faith means if you love God very very much!

  76. Florence Y5 😋🍱 says:

The Wednesday word is Companion. A companion is like a friend.Jesus is our companion as he helps us when we are struggling.

  77. Bethan Y1 says:

This week I will be a good companion by being kind and helpful to others.

  78. Flavia y2 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is COMPANION. God does not care if we are popular or not he still cares about anyone of us in the same way. And Jesus is our special friend and help us in everyday difficulties.

  79. This weeks Wednesday word is companion. It is important for everyone to have at least one companion ( a supportive and kind person ). In the gospel, Jesus blesses the Father and tells him that everything has been entrusted to him by the Father and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son
chooses to reveal him. God is Jesus’ companion but he is also ours we can always ask and pray to God if we need anything .

  80. 😎Aldrin😎 :D says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is Companion. in the Gospel, Jesus blesses the father and talks with him about everything he’s been entrusted by the father.
Jesus is our Companion because he is a friend and guides us when we are lost.
Jesus is also a good companion because he teaches us what is right and what is not.
