I would like to recommend the following series called the School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani. It is about two girls who are taken to the School for Good and Evil. Their life changes completely and things aren’t always as they seem. There are six books in this series along with a handbook and two books about the schoolmasters of the school.

    Title: My Friend the Enemy
    Author: Dan Smith
Book review: This book is about a story during the Second World War. Peter, an English boy witnesses the crash of a German bomber in a field. One German soldier was able to parachute himself out of the plane and was now on the loose. While playing in the woods with his best friend Kim, Peter stumbles upon the wounded German soldier. He then finds out by helping him and becoming friends with him that not all Germans are bad.
Rating: 10 out of 10, it is a really good story and it always has cliffhangers at the end of the chapters.

Title: When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit
    Author: Judith Kerr
Book review: It‘s about a girl who lived all her life in Germany, but when Hitler comes to power she has to leave because she is Jewish. This book is a true story as it reflects what happened to the author during the war. This is the first of three books, I can‘t wait to start number 2!
Rating: 9 out of of 10.

  4. Title: The Lost Whale
    Author: Hannah gold
Book Review: The Lost Whale is a fantastic book, which I would recommend to the class. this book has two sides to it one is a relationship between family and the second is the relationship between the main character(Rio) and the Ocean and the Whales. The beginning of this book is about Rio arriving at the Los angles Airport from London where Rio currently lives. Rio has been sent to Los angles,Ocean Bay because his mum has to go hospital for a month because she is very sick so Rio is staying with his grandmother who he barely knows.Rio makes some friends at Ocean Bay and also discovers a power he never knew he had!Rio now finds out more about his mum and his grandmother and learns a great mystery about his mum and his responsibilities.

  6. Title: Finding Bear
    Author: Hannah Gold
Book Review: I would recommend this book because it is thrilling book that will keep you on the edge of your sett as it has a lot of danger. Finding Bear is also a roller coaster of emotions as different events in the book could be sad but also could be shocking. The main characters’ names are Bear, (Who is a polar bear) April Wood is an 11year old girl who has conquered death a few times and when everything is lost she will always give everyone hope. I liked this because it always has surprising events and will always keep you on your toes.
