Next week, we will start thinking about animals in zoos. What do you think about zoos? Do you enjoy visiting zoos? Do you think that animals should be kept in zoos or not? Let us know your opinion! Remember to explain your ideas. You also need to remember that, like everyone else, ‘…you have the right to give your opinion.’ (Article 12 of the U.N.C.R.C.)

  1. I enjoy zoos but I don’t think it is right to keep animals there because all they do there is just run around the cage and not be able to explore more around the world.

  2. I enjoy zoos and I think it is important that endangered animals should be kept in them to protect the animals and keep them safe from poachers.

  3. Personally, I like zoos. When what really happens comes into thought, then no. It truly is awful the way they the animals. This is an uprising problem. Recently in America polar bear jails have been opened- people treat these places like zoos. The animals are not fed, shot with sleeping drugs and neglected. The amount of animals in such conditions is on an upward rise and until this is stopped the situation is just going to get worse. Animal can be kept in zoos with freedom. For example: Large areas of space for animals to play in, food to maintain their health and so on…
We can’t be hypocrites though, if we want this to change we need to stand up against it.

  4. Honestly, I love visiting zoos however I do not think that animals deserve to be locked up in a cage for ever until they die. That is one way animals can get extinct since they are away from their family and the change of climate can affect the way they breathe.

  5. I do enjoy the zoo as I see many animals I wouldn’t otherwise see often. I personally think that animals should not be in the zoo as they do not have the chance to roam in the wild.

  6. I do not think that animals should be kept in zoos. This is because there is hardly any space for the animals to play or to walk freely, and exotic animals such as lions or elephants are seen in safaris, where the animals can be free.
