To day we welcomed Carla Leowe, Road Safety Officer, Westminster Council and Julianna Moats, Principal Engineer, WSP, to complete an air quality audit of our school. Air quality is a major issue affecting the health and wellbeing of everyone in Westminster, and we are committed to working to implement a variety of measures to reduce localised pollution.
Part of the process involved Julianna leading an assembly to teach us about air pollution. Julianna was very impressed with the work of our Green Team and School Council and the commitment we all have to living a healthy lifestyle. She also really liked our Scooter Storage!
We are now thinking of new ideas to continue our efforts to reduce pollution. These include trying to involve local businesses, making St Vincent’s Street a permanent pedestrian zone, putting a planter on St Vincent Street near junction with Marylebone High Street and renovating the growing area on the rooftop playground.
