We were very privileged to have a special visit in our R.E. lesson today from Father Christopher. We had prepared many questions we wanted to ask him about his special mission in the diocese and he really tried his best to answer all of our valued questions.

Father Christopher told us that he did not come from a very religious family and that a lot of people did not understand or agree with his calling to become a priest. He shared the joys and demands of his vocation with us and reminded us that we are all unique and we must all take our mission seriously, whatever that may be. We discussed the unity of the church and we asked him how we can make a difference. Father Christopher told us that Christians are all ‘one’ through our faith and through baptism. He reminded us that Jesus would have wanted us to be ‘one’. He said we can start making a difference today by being the best version of ourselves despite the negative forces around us. Some children wanted to know why humans suffer or what the meaning of life is and Father Christopher explained that God is a mystery and we can never understand him fully in this life.

Thank you Father Christopher for giving up your time to talk to us and to answer some very difficult questions!
