We have had a brilliant Art week. We began the week by participating in a live workshop with Esther from the October gallery. She introduced the artist Rafael Trelles and we looked at some of his wonderful paintings. His art work is on the theme of nature. We looked closely at the paintings to see the mysterious spaces and hidden treasures.
We have learnt so many skills this week. We started by painting and mixing colours. We then made stencils and started to add layers. In our class workshop we used oil pastels to add texture and different dimensions. We also drew different animals which will be added to our final piece.
Today we experimented with clay. We drew a tree or a leaf shape into the clay then put some paint on top. We then learnt how to print using the clay. We had so much fun and have learnt so many skills in just a few days.
