Green Team have been investigating air pollution in our local area over the last year. This week, we set up some special test tubes in the streets around our school. We will leave these in place for a month, then send them off to a laboratory to be tested. This will tell us whether the levels of harmful gases in the air that we breathe have increased or decreased since our last investigation 6 months ago. We are particularly interested to monitor how the levels of air pollution will change in our neighbourhood over the next few months as some major building projects begin, so we will be re-testing pollution levels again later this year.
