During Reception’s ‘Our Community,’ topic, we had a special homework sharing circle time. In groups, we each had a turn to talk about the fantastic homework we created. Our homework task was to make a 3D model of a building in our community.

Before we began our circle time, we reminded each other of what it means to be a good listener and that it is important to take turns. We each had a turn at sitting in the special chair and we were all able to talk about how we made our building using some key vocabulary. After we listened to each of our friends talk about their homework, we gave a compliment about their work.

We also developed the skill of asking questions. We practised asking questions using ‘why’ and ‘how.’

Well done everyone for creating your wonderful 3D buildings and for trying so hard to talk about what you did!
