Welcome back Year 1! I hope you all had a fabulous and relaxing Easter break filled with fun, family and maybe even a little bit of chocolate. It was so lovely to hear all the students share their adventures in class yesterday.
We got stuck straight back into our learning yesterday with one of the students’ favourite subjects: computing! Our learning outcome was ‘I can sort objects’. First we collected objects from the classroom and looked at different ways we can sort them. We sorted them into object, size and colour. Next we looked online at a 2D shape sorting game together. We saw how we can sort objects based on two different properties (their shape and colour). Once the students knew what to do, we went downstairs to the computer room where students logged onto their individual login and they played the game on their own. It was so much fun sorting objects online!
It seems like you guys had so much fun learning about shapes by playing a game .
