This half term in Year 4, we have been learning all about the fantastic sport of cricket! We had another fantastic cricket session this week with our coaches from the Marylebone Cricket Club who have been teaching us all the important skills we need to be successful whilst playing cricket!

This week was our last session before half term, so we began the lesson with an exciting game of medic tag, which quickly got everyone moving, thinking and working together as a team. After warming up, we practised our batting and fielding skills through a fast-paced game called Survivor. This was a fast paced game in which we only had 5 lives and had to work together to try and keep them otherwise our batting turn would be over. Everyone showed great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship as they worked hard to improve their catching, throwing and striking skills.

It has been wonderful to see everyone growing in confidence and enthusiasm each week whilst taking part in the sessions. Year 4, I’m so proud of the effort and positive attitude shown by everyone. What has been your favourite part of our sessions so far?
