As a class we have been learning all about Lent, Good Friday and Easter. The children have been working hard and reflecting on how we can grow in love during the special time of Lent.
Each child hand wrote and decorated their Lenten promise, focusing on how we can be more like Jesus by being kinder, more caring and more helpful to others.
The children learnt about Good Friday, and how Jesus died for us. The children listened very well and know that even though this is a very sad story to remember, it is also extremely special and lead to a very happy day – Easter Sunday!
The children were told that our next task was to make Easter Gardens, but the children asked to make one together as a class, as we all made our promises together too.
The children did an amazing job at building, sticking and painting such a special feature for our prayer table. I am very proud of how they have listened and reflected during our RE sessions.
