In Geography we have been learning to use aerial photographs to recognise landmarks in Marylebone. We can recognise St James’s Church, St Vincent’s School,  The Wallace Collection,  Marylebone Station and the BT tower. We have been exploring maps and trying to accurately plan out where important buildings are. We worked together to create a big map using word cards.

We have also been learning about human and physical Geography. Human features are those that are built by humans. We recognised that roads and buildings were built by humans. We also learnt that physical features include rivers, mountains and trees. We can see more human features than physical features in Marylebone.

We worked in groups to build human features using Lego. We  used materials such as tissue paper and pipe cleaners to represent the physical features.
