A few weeks ago, some of Green Team learned how to make chutney at St Thomas More School. We did this as part of the Schools to Market project which teaches about the importance of knowing where our food come from. We created a beetroot, apple and ginger chutney and had to wait a few weeks for the flavours to mature and mellow before tasting. You can read all about our making masterclass here!

We wrote letters to invite some special visitors to our chutney tasting session and we are pleased to say that they thought our chutney was delicious! Soon, we will be showing Year 2 how to make chutney to sell at Whole Foods in a few weeks time. It was lovely to taste it for ourselves and we are so pleased that it was yummy!
