Today in art we learning how we can roll and fold different materials to make different shapes. This crossed over with our science unit, as we ere also able to talk about the materials and why they roll or fold different. We used cardboard, paper, tissue paper and straws. Straws were definitely the trickiest to roll! By the end we were coming up with some very interesting ways to roll, like using the straw to help roll paper, and pulling out the rolled section of the paper to make a telescope looking shape. We really enjoyed trying out these different methods.
