Today has been a fun and busy day because I was head teacher!

I became head teacher by having my name picked out from a raffle as part of the auction.

First, I came to school at 8:30, to welcome everyone at the gates and distribute the hand gel. It was amazing to meet the whole school in 25 minutes!

I sorted out the late book and then it was time to properly introduce myself in the whole school assembly. Despite really looking towards this, I was pretty nervous. It was a bit strange at first, but I finally got used to it and was handing out the Stars of the Week.

After the assembly had ended, I went to the Foundation Stage to see what the Nursery and Reception children were learning and noted all the positive things they showed me.

I went to break and then went back down to the office to purchase art materials with the budget of £50. I bought watercolour pencils, glitter mosaics, glitter dots and Christmas sponges.

I had to finish my little walk around the school, so we went up to Y1 then to Y2 and Y3 and then went back down to Y6 and Y5 to then go down again to the final class: Y4. I had lots of amazing comments on each and every class.

St. Vincent’s is a wonderful school and I am so sad about leaving it this year.

I had lunch and lunch break after writing this very newsletter and after spending time playing some final, fun, memory-building games, I went to all the classes to tell them the magnificent feedback I had written.

Since our production was due the following day, I had to leave my post and go to production practise. That was the end of my day.

I found it very exciting and I think it must be quite overwhelming for Miss Coleman to do this every day. In any case, Miss Coleman does a fabulous job and I am so glad she has been my head teacher.

Thank you,

Miss Nouailhetas
