This academic year we introduced a new homework system. The teachers have been highly impressed with the quality of the work being produced, especially the creative pieces. We would now like to know your thoughts. Please provide any feedback abut the new homework system on the class blog. Thank you.

Here are just a few examples of the creative curriculum tasks:

Reception Creative Curriculum homework task: Space Rockets

Y1 1

Class 1 Creative Curriculum homework task: Make a paper aeroplane. How far can you fly your aeroplane? Can you challenge a member of your family to an aeroplane race?

Y2 1

Class 2 Creative Curriculum homework task: Create a timeline of the events that happened during the 4 days of the Great Fire of London. Draw a picture to go with each event on the timeline.

 

Y3 1

Class 3 Creative Curriculum homework task: Research how houses in the Stone age/Iron age were built and design a typical Stone Age/Iron Age house.

Y4 1

Class 4 Creative Curriculum homework task: What is the water cycle? You can choose to show the water cycle in whatever way you want; pictures, a model, description – it is up to you!

Y5 4

Class 5 Creative Curriculum homework task: Create the very first building you’d build if you started your very own island. Why is this building special? How are you going to make it stand out? Is your building multi-functional? Please take a photo and stick into your homework book.

Y6 3

Class 6 Creative Curriculum homework task:Create a piece of artwork with the theme ‘Freedom’. Your artwork could be a painting, collage or even a sculpture. Write several paragraphs in your book describing what your artwork is, how you created it and why you chose to portray the theme of ‘Freedom’ in this way. You might choose to focus on ‘Animal Freedom’ or anything else that freedom means to you.
