This morning Year 1 had lovely walk around the local area!

This week in class we mapped out our route and looked at the different directions we were going (north, east, south and west). We talked about what we might see on the way (shops, houses, people, parks and different landmarks) and how we needed to keep ourselves self on our walk.

We set off up Thayer st until we reached Marylebone road. Then we walked up towards Regent’S Park, crossed a river and found a lovely place to sit and do a sketch of the pond. We then turned back and came back via Paddington st gardens until we returned to school.

I was very impressed with how responsible everyone was on the roads, and can’t wait for Year 1’s next excursion.
