This week, we’ve used our different design technology skills to design and create our own Mother’s Day cards! Using different shapes, we designed the front of our cards, thinking of how or where we could include a lever.

We then saw that we could use a lollipop stick as a lever, to imitate a growing flower. We know that flowers link to spring and that it would be suitable for the occasion! Whilst making our cards, we worked well together to share and help each other. We practiced our cutting skills and focused on the way in which we can stick things together to make them stronger. We realised that this could be tricky with our design as we couldn’t stick our flower directly to the card, because we then wouldn’t be able to move it!

Well done for all of your hard work, Year 2. I hope that all of your mums liked your lovely cards!
