As part of our ‘Celebrations’ topic, we talked about poppies and why lots of people are wearing poppies at the moment.
We looked at some pictures and talked about them. Then we looked carefully at some poppies. We chose our colours and then painted our own poppy pictures.
At 11 o’clock, we took part in the two minute silence which seemed very long to us but we all did really well. Afterwards, we talked about how different this celebration is from other celebrations that we already know about such as birthdays, Bonfire Night and Baptisms.
