On Tuesday,  it was Nursery’s turn to take part in the First Aid session with Martin from Mini First Aid.

We all chose a ‘patient’ from the toy basket and then we learned how to help them if got hurt. We learned that we need to press gently on the cut with a clean pad and then put a plaster on. We also learned to put an ice pack in if the patient had hit their head and to ask them if they were feeling sick or dizzy.

We learnt how to call an ambulance by dialling 999 and we each had a turn to ring an ambulance and say what had happened.

Martin also told us that we need to learn how to say where we live in case of an emergency and this is something we all still need to practice at home.

Thank you very much to Martin from Mini First Aid and to the SVPA for funding this opportunity for us. We really enjoyed it and learned some very valuable life skills.
