Today was Odd Socks Day and it was great to see everyone wearing brightly coloured and mismatched socks to celebrate being unique. The idea behind Odd Socks Day is to remind us that everyone is different and that we should appreciate and respect those differences. It was a cheerful way to start the week and a lovely reminder that being yourself is something to be proud of.

We began the day with a whole school assembly to launch Anti Bullying Week. This year’s theme, Power for Good, encouraged everyone to think about how we can use our actions and words to make a positive difference to others. During the assembly we talked about how even small acts of kindness can have a big impact and help create a more caring community.

In class, we continued our discussions by thinking carefully about what bullying means, how it can make people feel, and what we should do if we or someone we know is being bullied. Everyone shared thoughtful ideas about the importance of speaking up, looking out for one another, and treating people with respect.

To end the day, we created posters to share our messages. Some included short slogans, while others focused on key words such as kindness, respect, and friendship. The finished posters were full of colour and positivity and showed how we can all use our power for good every day.
