During this lockdown, we are all spending lots of time indoors and this often means more time on screens. This can be anything from phones and tablets, computers, laptops and TV.

As a result, whole families are at home together and are enjoying spending time together using these devices, which is wonderful, but we would like to remind you about making sure the content is appropriate.

Age rating on games, films and TV shows are there for a reason. Children should not be exposed to content that is not age appropriate. This exposure can come from watching it themselves, with a parent or older sibling, or even overhearing it if they are nearby.

There are lots of websites on our school Online Safety page that have lots of information as well as how to set up parental controls on your TV and devices at home.

Parent Zone has lots of online advice including how to chose appropriate  content for your children.

Children, if you watch or overhear anything that upsets you of makes you feel uncomfortable, it is important that you talk to somebody – you won’t be in trouble! Ollee has lots of tips for children and you can always write it in our Worry Box and then we can talk to you about it.
