We have absolutely loved working with Queen’s College the past few weeks!

We have been so lucky to develop our skills whilst working with clay. We have learnt all about different techniques to join pieces of clay together, and to use a wet sponge to try to smooth other areas. We have worked so hard to recreate textures seen within different foods, and we then started to create our own clay pots. Some of us wanted to try to create bowls that used textures that imitated the surfaces of fruits and vegetables, whilst others even created lids for pots to resemble the tops of apples!

Once our pots were dry, we were able to paint our sculptures! We worked hard to blend paints together to create the right shade for our fruit/vegetable. We took our time and care with this, and really focused on how to add different shades effectively. We are really happy with the way that our clay sculptures turned out!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Queen’s College for all of their help and support recently!
