We have been reading a variety of poems written in World War Two this week in our English lessons.

We looked closely at the features of the poems, the language used to create imagery and how the poems made us feel.

Then, we wrote our own World War 2 poems, focussing on using expanded noun phrases and figurative language such as similes, metaphors, personification and onomatopoeia.

Some children chose to perform their poetry to the class. We hope you enjoy listening to our poems.
