Phonics fun!

We participated in some very fun phonics activities today!

After revising the split digraph a-e we engaged in some practical activities related to the sound.

The range of activities included:

Reading alien words with the a-e sound.

Playing a game of roll and read

Reading the ‘Snail and the Whale’ and identifying the different a-e sounds (ai, ay) in the text.

Writing our own sentences using picture prompts 

Completing a wordsearch by finding all of the a-e words.

Making the a-e sound with playdough and making a word with it too!

We had a lot of fun and learnt lots too!
