Our current Religious Education topic is ‘Unity’ where we explore unity with our friends, unity with our community, unity with our family and unity with Jesus.

Yesterday in our Religious Education lesson we identified the signs and symbols of the Holy Communion. After exploring the Lord’s Supper in Luke’s Gospel, we discussed the symbols that we associate with unity, peace and the Holy Communion.

We studied some of the most famous stained glass windows from around the world and then enjoyed a creative afternoon designing a stained glass window which showed, in symbols, that we are all joined with each other and with Jesus in unity as one body.

He will cover you with his wings;
You will be safe in his care;
His faithfulness will protect and defend you.

Psalm 91: 4
