This week we have continued to learn about rocks!

We focused on using our observational skills like scientists to identify different types of rocks based on their properties.

We had to use a magnifying glass to look at all the small details in our samples. Then we used adjectives to describe their texture, appearance and colour.

After that, we made precise scientific drawings to record our findings. Our teacher showed us a grid with the different properties of certain rocks and we had to think like detectives to figure out which was which!

Now we can identify different types of rocks, we are looking forward to learning more about their properties!
