This half term Year 1 has been looking at animals.

Firstly we researched the different types of animals: reptiles, mammals, birds, amphibians and fish. We know all about these animals and their different traits, and whether they are cold or warm blooded. We next looked at the difference between herbivores, carnivores and omnivores and what that means the animals eat.

Today we looked at the structure of animals, and compared the structures of different types of animals. It was very interesting comparing a zebra (which we know is a mammal) to a snake (which we know is a reptile). But also seeing what similarities they have. What an interesting topic!
