Last week, we were really lucky to be able to perform a class assembly live to our parents in the school hall. This was the first time we have done this in a very long time! We were able to put together our ideas, and some of us even wrote scripts at home, summarising all of our learning from last half term. We loved learning all about the Great Fire of London and felt that we learnt lots of interesting facts along the way. We practiced our scripts, and learnt lots of great songs with Mr Rees. One of our favourites was September 1666 because we really enjoyed doing all of the actions, which helped us to remember the lyrics!

We have worked incredibly hard in all of our topic lessons, and have put our knowledge and understanding to good use in our assembly. We used pieces of drama to help to recreate certain aspects of what life was like in 1666. We even had our very own King Charles II and Samuel Pepys!

Well done for working so hard, Year 2. We are all so proud of what you have achieved. You should be really proud of yourselves.
