In our Geography lessons this week we have been learning more about North and South America. We learned all about Tornado Alley in the United States.

The tornadoes in this region form due to warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico colliding with the cooler dry air from the Northern Plains. These two combined are the perfect recipe to create strong thunderstorms and tornadoes.

Then, we had fun making informational posters sharing how tornadoes are formed and how to protect a home from them.

I’m so sad I wasn’t able to participate in this activity but I was sick, therefore, I had to stay at home. This activity in my opinion would’ve been very enjoyable for me and I hope I can participate in the next exciting activity!!! 😀
